The problem with doing a contest that involves creativity is there can only be one winner, while everyone that took the time to create and enter their videos deserves a prize. The rules, however, are the rules and we can’t go changing them now.

A few weeks ago, we released BAD GAME, a Shadowrun parody song, and challenged our readers to come up with the official Sarcastic Gamer video.

Five, very loyal Sarcastic Gamer community members took this challenge, and created their own, very different versions of the song.

We are tasked with choosing two finalists. One amongst the SG staff, and the other based on the number of views that are generated on Youtube. Now that the deadline for submissions has passed, we are pleased to present to you the six official entries for the Bad Game Video Contest.

The videos are listed in the order that they were submitted. This Friday, at 5pm (Central) we will tally the total views of each video, select our staff finalist, crown the two finalists, and place the rest in the hands of the Sarcastic Gamer community. So, here’s the same song, 6 different ways. Vote with your views folks.

Gfan102
Gfan102 was our very first entrant and has already racked up more than 2700 views! He mixed several great pieces of kick-ass in-game footage!

Dimipapa

Dimipapa used heavy in-game footage for his video, plus relevant stills.

Robbie C

Robbie C took a very creative route, actually animating our logo to sing the song. Walk it out!

Ploogle

Ploogle made 3 videos for this contest, deciding to save his best performance for last. This version features live-action lip sync and slow-mo. Fancy!

A Dark Knight 2

No stranger to video-izing Sarcastic Gamer songs, A Dark Knight brings a special brand of creativity. The lip sync got thrown off by Youtube, and actually adds something.

Chexd

Apparently Chexd has a budget for casting, because his video features a lovely young lady who delivers a stellar, riveting, and emotional performance, plus lots of visual hilarity.

So there you have them, the official entrants for the Bad Game video contest. Once again, remember that one of the finalists will be decided by how high they can get their play counter on Youtube, so as readers, you can show the love for your favorites, just by sitting in front of your computer and watching the video over and over, until you collapse like a cybercafe patron in China.

A special thank you to everyone who entered. It is indeed humbling to see the amount of work that went into this contest. You all deserve a prize. But I only have so many granola bars man!
