SOURCE: Game Critics AwardsAt this year’s E3, Rock Band was named Best of Show, with second place going to Mass Effect. Rock Band was also named Best Game Perhipheral Bundle and Best Social/Casual/Puzzle game of show as well. Overall the 360 had 11 wins to the PS3’s 8 and the Wii’s lowly single win was for the multiplatform Madden ‘08. (Gasp! Yeah, I guess there were no soccer moms on the judging panel.)

I know that I’ve already covered some of this hallowed ground in our second podcast (you didn’t know that we made it to number two? Shame on you, we’re already at number 3! Subscribe now!), but I wanted to share the love in print. For dorks like me, who have never leared how to play an instrument, Rock Band will let you live out your wildest Rockstar fantasies. (Well, maybe not your wildest…). Oh and by the way, this goodness is also coming out for the PS3, so they’ll finally have a good game to play on that gold-plated piece of ______!
