Time for pure speculation campers. The internets are a buzz regarding something yours truly predicted in Episode Two of our podcast about a month ago. Namely that Microsoft will introduce Core and Premium 360’s with HDMI ports, which will become the standard for those models.

• Is a Halo 3 1080p annoucnement far off? You heard it here first! Wild speculation to ensue….

The same internets are also reporting that these new 360’s will include the smaller and cooler 65nm processing chips that will help stave off those dreaded “red rings of death” that we’ve heard so much about. Personally, I don’t believe the rings exist, as I’ve never experienced such a thing…. Ignorance is bliss.

So what does this mean to you? Well nothing really. Sorry early adopters, you are once again screwed. Although if you bought a third party warranty from your retailer, maybe its time to kick that sucker over and return it for a brand new shiny HDMIized 360….Although, if the FBI is reading this, I am only kidding… See, look above. Sarcastic gamer! Heh heh…um.. ok.

So, is the price drop really a price drop, or a Sony style “price drop” to get rid of existing models to make room for the new ones?
