Daves top five Quakecon moments

To begin, Lono does snore very, very, very loud. Many a time during the night, Doc and I would yell at him and then make a reference to the almighty to which Lono would reply, “what?” Having said that, now its time for the moments that stick out in my short term A.D.D. memory.

1. Left 4 Dead demo.

The game was so amazing that afterward when we were chatting with the developers for about 3 minutes all I could say was, “Wow.” It is now in my top five 360 games that I can hardly wait for. The graphics were clean and the game play was pretty solid and it was always intense. I had a “holy crap moment” every five minutes. One minute everything is cool, suddenly 20 Zombies rip through the door and its up to you to send them to the hell that spawned them. On a side note, I’m a huge fan of Zombie movies and games, but I think this game will even attract those who are not big zombie fanboys like myself.

2. World in Conflict demo.

You’re favorite Sarcasticgamers sat down and faced off against a team of PC gamers in this RTS. It wasn’t pretty. Thank God we picked up two ringers because without them it would have been much worse. Not bad for a couple of console gamers playing against guys who had been playing the beta for weeks. The game was solid and quick to the action since there was no mineral mining. I’m gonna look into getting this one when it comes out, hopefully my comp can handle it!

3. Eyes on with the Quake Wars Enemy Territory Demo.

I did not get to play this one, but just looking at it made me see that my RB6 days are numbered. It looks amazing and their were a lot of features that made me have to go back to the room and change my shorts(it was a long trip). The graphics, weapons, maps, and vehicles brought this to the top five of my most anticipated games.

4. Networking.

We met tons of people and passed out quite a bit of Sarcastic swag. It was cool, because for the most part, we did not meet any A-holes. They did let Lono in, but he had a press pass. To all of you that discovered the site from Quakecon welcome. We enjoyed meeting you and we hope you will become a regular here at sarcasticgamer.com.

5.Frag Dolls

Being the RB6 buffs that we are Lono, Doc and myself challenged these lovely ladies to a 3v3 match. It wasn’t easy but team Sarcastic Gamer fell 15 to 10 and we have no problem with that. They’ve got skills and they love the 360 although we were playing the PC version. Sadly, due to scheduling conflicts, we could not interview them, but they were all nice. I have to say, Calyber is my favorite because not only did she take a picture with me she was also the hottest and the coolest one of the three we met.

I had a blast, and I think that the next con we all go to(whatever it may be)will be an even bigger hoot. It was great to finally meet Lono in person and take my liver down a few notches with all the beer we drank. Next year I hope I mow enough yards to go to E3.
