“The PS3 isn’t any more difficult to program for than the 360.”

Remember those words? We’ve certainly heard them repeatedly from the talking heads at Sony since before the introduction of the PS3 to the marketplace.

So if that’s the case, why now is Sony sending in a “crack team” of engineers to assist Epic in its efforts to get the Unreal Engine to work properly and efficiently on the Playstation 3?

From now on, no matter what Sony says, I am going to believe the opposite or cut their estimates in half. Why does nothing that this company says ever come fully to fruition? When will Sony learn to STFU until they’ve accomplished their mission.

Time and time again they raise expectations and fall short at delivery time. Here’s a novel concept. STFU and then we’ll all be wowed by the payoff…. Because we weren’t expecting crap.

Frankly I doubt Epic Games needs Sony to “Rescue” them. If allowed to happen, before long, Epic will start bleeding money and running off at the mouth too.
