Do to its success, the makers of the Guitar Hero franchise have announced that their big project for 2008 will once again cater to the consumer too lazy to play Dance Dance Revolution but crave something to give their fingers and wrists a work out. Trumpet Hero will allow music enthusiasts to play their favorite Jazz and Big Band songs, but it will require more from its players than previous titles.

Not only will players have to change notes using the three colored buttons on top of the horn, they will also have to continually rock up, down, and side to side as a fourth button. The truly innovative feature is that when playing a note you must blow into the horn. When asked about this feature the developer said, “We believe that your average non-smoking thirty year old virgin that lives in his parents basement can get through a song without passing out. Smokers may have trouble, but whatever…it’s not cool to smoke anymore.”

They also announced that six months after it’s release they will begin work on the “Trumpet Hero Killer.” Dixie Land Band will include a trumpet, the all new banjo, drums, and three handle bar mustaches.
