Redmond, WA - July 27, 2007 - In a recent interview with GameHead, Nintendo of America CEO Reggie Fils-Aime hinted at an upcoming “surprise” in store for Wii owners this September. After much speculation and many contradicting theories, SarcasticGamer.com has been contacted with an exclusive story documenting the actual surprise Reggie is referring to. Our anonymous source points to the fact that the Wii has been criticized in the past for not including movie playback functionality and that many rumors have mentioned upcoming Wii models that support such functionality. Apparently during a recent visit to Nintendo’s R&D facility, our tipster accidentally opened the wrong door after a series of misunderstood directions during a restroom break and undeniably saw Nintendo engineers watching a movie from their Wii. When they noticed someone had come in, they immediately ejected the movie (by drawing a line with a triangle above it in the air), put it in its case (undeniably a Blu-ray movie case based on its size/shape/color), and one of the men shoved the “wired to the Wii-mote” remote control into his lab coat. Our source asked what they were doing in a quizzical manner but apparently they simply babbled something unintelligible in Japanese and rushed the door, locking it many times after several substantial pushes.
