Duke Nukem Forever to be PS3 exclusive!

Sony Entertainment Company of America revealed today that 3D Realm’s Duke Nukem Forever, a game that has lived in infamy for a decade, will be released in time for Christmas 2007 and will be exclusive to the PS3 console.

 

For those that may not remember Duke, he was last seen on home computers in Duke Nukem 3D and was released way back on January 29, 1996. Since its startling success on the pc, rumors have run rampant regarding the sequel, which will finally be playable at the Tokyo Game Show on Septebmer 22, 2007.


PS3 executives, after a string of lost exclusive titles including Assassin’s Creed, Ace Combat, Katamary Damacy, Virtua Fighter, and Devil May Cry, among others, are said to be thrilled to finally have an exclusive franchise such as Duke Nukem to be confirmed on their Fall schedule of releases.


When asked about rumors that Duke Nukem has been having production problems and may need to be delayed, SCEA spokesman Marvin Bernard replied, “Sony is willing to bet its entire entertainment division on Duke Nukem coming out this fall and you can print that! Up yours Microsoft!”


Well, with Duke Nukem confirmed for the PS3 this fall, how can the Xbox 360 compete???
