Did The "Red Ring of Death" Burn Peter Moore?

Another “All-Fiction-Friday” news story by Sean Workman

Sources close to Microsoft’s Redmond, WA offices have leaked news regarding a rather unlikely source of events that may have in part led to the seemingly abrupt resignation of the Corporate Vice-President of Microsoft’s Interactive Entertainment Business division Peter Moore mere days after Microsoft’s E3 2007 showing.

Our sources have uncovered evidence that points to the recent run of bad press Microsoft has experienced related to their “Red Ring of Death” problem, combined with the constant threat of lawsuits and plummeting consumer confidence, led to the departure.

What makes this story more interesting is that the latest round of lawsuits were actually filed by one “Leonid The Magnificent”, a circus performer known for his flaming acts of acrobatics and showmanship. Leonid, of the relatively unknown AGT Circus Troop, felt the reputation of his latest act was being unfairly stifled by the negativity Microsoft has caused for the term “Red Ring of Death” and has sought unspecified damages. Microsoft does not publicly comment on ongoing litigation.
