The Church of England’s ‘Sacred Digital Guidelines’

So remember the whole Insomniac Games desecrated the Manchester Cathedral and the entire Church of England issue because they held a fictional alternate reality alien invasion battle there? I know, it seems a little far fetched (but it made a killer game level). We all know how the game was released for what, a half a year before someone at the Church learned of it and got outraged enough to hit the “Alert the Media!” button. Well, fast forward to now and the Church of England has not only rejected Sony’s latest apology (my guess is because it wasn’t stacked on top of a cubic yard of hundred dollar bills), they’ve sought fit to issue a new work-in-progress called the Sacred Digital Guidelines to keep incidents like this from happening in the future. Of course my list of things to keep this from happening in the future would be much shorter and not so sacred… it would have this single entry: Don’t get your panties in a bunch over fictional works of art! Yes, I call your “travesty” a work of art. Get over it Church of England, you’re coming off like a bunch of Holier than thou asses. See what I did there with the “Holier than thou?”
