Breaking Up Is FUN To Do

EA Sports, EA Games, EA Casual Entertainment and The Sims. Those are the four new sections of Electronic Arts. Each independent of the other, I guess with the exception of the huge monetary tributes they’ll have to pay to the motherland.

The first three categories make sense to me, but it seems a real gamble to create a whole division of your company based on one title. Granted, its a wildly successful title.

Maybe EA will expand to include another division in the near future. The “Buy up every license possible so no one can compete with us division” kinda has a nice sound to it. Don’t you agree?
