We’re back with Episode 18 of the Sarcastic Gamer Playstation Podcast… and it’s a doozy! I’m writing this description based off the agenda of things we discussed, so it’s possible some of these topics hit the cutting room floor (Dave has to cut SOME stuff to get us down to time and keep us somewhat funny/interesting) but this week, we discussed:

Introductions (Pacman’s internet “outage” status)
GamerCast Network update
Roomah Confirmed! PSP-3000 is real (and it ticks off Pacman a little bit!)
PS3’s upcoming keyboard add-on, described in about 500 (excessive) words by Roth
Heavy Rain gets Frawlz all wet
Frawlz hates LBP because it’s so cute but LOVES EyePet because it’s so cute… what?!?!
New PS3 bundle with 160GB, Uncharted, and PAIN. Do we care?
Frawlz has a Killzone 2 moment… everyone stand back!
Sony testing “direct to PS store” sales for first run PSP games
Qore issue 4 to have Motorstorm Pacific Rift demo? Sold!!!
David Perry tries SO hard to get people to talk about Acclaim
LittleBigCopyright, how user-created content management will be handled in LBP
Nobody cares but me and Europe, but Singstar PS3 to get “insert disc” patch to play PS2 Singstar songs from PS2 disc (even if your PS3 won’t play PS2 games!)
The Last Guy and Star Wars Force Unleashed demo impressions
LittleBigPlanet will have its user-generated content region locked, GOTCHA! No it won’t!
Are you STILL confused by all the PS3 SKUs or are you starting to look at them somewhat like a PC? Nobody tries to memorize Dell model specs.
It’s Not a Roomah! Podcast Edition
Shoutouts - Can Frawlz even read?

How many "Artemises" are there? I only know of one and I don't text people.
Perhaps you ment "Arseen"?

This error sorta gets me a mention on all three shows now.

Actually i think you guys need to revise your thoughts on Heavy Rain. Have you guys played Fahrenheit aka Indigo Prophecy? Well its the same people, and they have already said the game plays mostly like that, except without the weird ending. So therefore please don't say you won't know what it's like.

I'm gonna have to say I am stoked for Heavy Rain. I loved Indigo Prophecy and I love psychological thrillers. Hence, my manlove for Heavy Rain. Also, does anyone else feel like PacMan hates doing these podcasts? He gets picked on all the time and always does this nervous fake laugh thing.

Just to cause some friction, the last guy got a 9 from IGN... So apparently it doesn't suck

thank you for the shout-out, although you did say my name wrong. its tricky mic (said like nick with a "m.") its probably for the best as my name is considered to be an insult to some people, but what you gonna do? it's my name! LOL

Love the podcast guys and keep up the good work, but I have one question that it seems a lot of the media seems a little uniformed on.

Everyone including your podcast seems to associate core with Xbox gold. Now if you look at the details of the official Xbox Magazin and Qore they are exactly the same even down to the price.

Official Xbox Magazine
https://w1.buysub.com/pubs/IM/BOX/BOX__GiftDonee.jsp?cds_page_id=6331&cds_mag_code=BOX&id=1220539977101&lsid=82480952031062908&vid=3&cds_mag_code=BOX
Every issue you receive of the Official Xbox Magazine comes with a ground-breaking Xbox game disc packed with EXCLUSIVE demos, video walk-throughs, strategies, video previews of upcoming games, special saves, downloadable cheats, and much, much more. In every issue you get exclusive inside information on Xbox games, in-depth, authoritative, and bluntly honest reviews. Plus, cheats, tips, and ways to make sure you get the most out of your Xbox!

Price: Give 12 issues and 12 demo-packed game discs for $24.95.

Playstation Qore
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2008/06/03/introducing-qore-taking-you-behind-the-curtain-with-playstation/
Today we are announcing that Qore: Presented by the PLAYSTATION Network, a highly interactive, monthly lifestyle gaming program covering the world inside PLAYSTATION is on its way to PS3. Qore has been developed to give PS3 users early access to game related content at a level of quality, interactivity and depth. Everything is filmed in HD. Qore will feature exclusive news, developer interviews, in-depth game previews and behind-the-scenes looks at PlayStation games and special access to game demos, special beta invitations, game add-ons and other downloadable game-related content.

12 issues for $24.95.

Now looking at the following details and knowing that if you don't subscribe to core you can still play any PS3 game online, why would anyone think Qore is anything other than an IGN, Game Informer, EGM or Official Xbox Magazine subscription?

Enjoyed the podcast. Have to agree with PMPB's opinion on the PSP 3000. It's something that's interesting only if you haven't got a PSP already and it probably is just another marketing trick to sell more PSP's. It's working I guess because I don't own a PSP and I'm now seriously considering getting one..
