We're totally stoked to be able to announce this brand new program for Sarcastic Gamer Community members.

This new program essentially gives everyone in the community a vehicle to share their ideas with the world, through podcasting. You don't have to worry about feeds and links and iTunes. You don't have to worry about file hosting and bandwidth.

Just make your show, whatever it is, and we will help you find an audience through the official community podcast feed.

Thank you for your patience as we grow this program, We have been working towards it for some time now, and it's nice to finally be able to announce it.

We'll probably have to do ALL the editing ourselves (i.e. what dave does for the 3 *official* shows), huh? Totally understandable.

Is it limited to a single person per "show"? Like, could I have a non-member friend host with me?

Expensive and uber picky about the computers it runs on.

Also takes months to learn.

Other than that.... it's great...

I've worked with Audacity before for recording myself playing, it's pretty easy to use, kinda like GarageBand.

This is an epic opportunity for both parts of Sarcastic Gamer. The community is allowed to show their talents through Sarcastic Gamer, and Sarcastic Gamer gets more publicity and members w/o spreading itself too thin. Whoever had the idea gets brownie points.
A good idea would be to build podcasts through your Social Groups, because that gives a topic people can relate to (ie achievements, specific games, Nintendo, Retro). I'm giddy with excitement and I'll join/start as soon as the workload is adjusted. (and I post more.)

If you can do that, sure. As I mentioned earlier in the thread, the Blu show uses regular phones to talk and computers to record.

That's what my friend and I do on the rare occasion that we can record a podcast.

Just make sure you download the LAME MP3 Encoder, so you can export in mp3

I don't see why not. They're just hosting your podcast under the "brand" (that's kinda what it is now, isn't it?) on the site if you (all in the podcast) meet the conditions described.

We don't approve/disprove podcasts. As long as there's not cussing or inappropriate sex talk and you follow the rules, then it gets posted. We don't play favorites, but beware, the community will judge you, just as the community judges our show.

wow, how many podcasts have been sent? Mine the SG Younglings Podcast Episode #1 was sent on Sunday and we got our confirmation today and our second episode should be coming Dave's way in the next day or so, can't wait to listen to the rest of them

He he I though thought of this and this is why I took special care on how we will end our "Resonator" show.

I think the best ending is just completely sudden, just be talking then BOOM it's over.
