yea GameInformer had a spread on achievement whores like a year ago and they admitted to just buying every game with the easiest points, i mean researching that shit and getting it down to a science. I'm still trying to remember a time when anyone cared what a person's Gamerscore was in the first place.

I think Prey has to be an exception.
That is an absolutely brilliant game, but the single player takes between 4-8 hours, and you get more than 500 points for completing the game on the lowest difficulty...
Plus, the game is fairly easy.

I think this is really cool. As my mind runs a mile a minute with ideas you could use, then I look at what is on my plate and think...I'll still have my mind run a mile a minute and if i come up with any suggestions i'll post them (especially once i get an idea of what you aiming for) hehe

I am pleased to announce my intention to create and lead a SG community Podcast.

It will be called : The Sarcastic Gamer Resonator (Podcast)

The mission of my Podcast is to be a an amplification of the SG community, in other words, this show will be about this site, this community and our video games. It will build off of the direction that the SG community sets it in. What are the hot games? What are the issues being debated on the forums and blogs? Who in our community is making the most noise right now?

Here is what I have planned so far:

A fast paced show with myself and 2 other hosts (I will get to that in a moment.)

Possible guests from the SG community on the Podcast or some sort of interaction, perhaps a brief feature/interview or rant/shout out/plug etc. on a forum member or two (i.e. what are your talents? Do you blog? Write video game code? compose music? artistic? make movies or anime? do you cos-play every weekend? Do you only play Zelda games? What issues push your buttons as a gamer? As a community? etc.

The point is that this show will be 50% SG community focused and 50% video game focused.

Here is my info:

Married 33 years old gamer who plays the trifecta of current consoles (though I like the 360 the most.) I also play PSP and DS games. I don't play PC games so I cannot add much and I don't really want to talk about them. Sorry. Retro games are still pretty cools as far as I am concerned. I live in the US and console video gaming is my passion. I am a geek and proud of it. I have background in public speaking and enjoy bantering and will strive to be as articulate as possible.

I love Sci-fi and some fantasy, live to quote movie lines and just like to be laid back and have some fun. I am an avid musician who plays mostly bass guitar.

I have a Macbook and will be doing all of the editing of the podcast for now. I already have a snazzy intro almost complete along with transitions etc.

What I need:

2 more co-hosts for the SG community. Please do not be just like me, I need some different opinions, ages maybe (no squeaky voices), backgrounds, country culture etc. Go ahead an PM me and we can start a dialogue.

This Podcast for now may be only twice a month, but if things pick up........???

You need to have a mic and a way of recording and emailing me an MP3 of your voice for the Podcast. (we can get into the technical later.)

Kinda similar, but It is not like I read about his livecast and thought, "gee I think I will do the same thing." There are some major differences:

1) ours is a prerecorded podcast, not a livecast
2) it will not be 2 hours long
3) we will be running features on talents of SG members in addtion to other forum and video game stuff
4) I don't think we will have live guests
5) a few other surprises???

Erm, where did you get the idea that ours is 2 hours long? It might have taken that long during the live recording, but it will be edited down quite a lot.

Now everyone wants to make a podcast and everyone is dick waving about who's is better and blah blah blah when no ones even done jack shit yet. Lets just all do our thing, and the guys will decide who they want to listen to and such. It's that simple. But UNTIL you have a podcast up and running, try to keep the not helpful criticism to your ****ing self. Seriously.

I'm not traditionally a PC gamer but since spore, I don't know. If your willing to have a console gamer on, I don't have a squeaky voice and i've got a headset and onboard mic.
