conquest mode worked for the PC because you usually have 64 people playing a game at once... Plus most of the maps (at least for 2142) were a lot smaller than the majority of the BC maps, so there were a lot of people battling it out on each flag. That can't happen when there's 5 flags and only 24 people...

Excellent show as always. On the subject of a flat fee for XBLA games, Gametap and Metaboli both use that model (though Metaboli does it with much better games). I think you're a little unrealistic with $2 a month, it's a bit low. The other thing to consider is that if you stop paying that cash, you can't access any of those games anymore.

I think it's possibly the way ahead for the PC, where storage space is effectively unlimited, and it's a neat alternative to piracy. on the consoles, not so much. They'll keep charging you individually because you've got no other options, and that makes the most profit. Remember all the fuss over DLC? I'm sure you do. ;)

Interesting thoughts on 1up's treatment of Too Human, guys. Sounds like they indeed did hand on review duties to an underling, as to not upset Dydack (I've been listening to their podcasts for a while now).

I liked the demo too. Don't think I'll buy the game though (need ze cash)...
