I'm one of the lucky people who have been able to find an Xbox 360 Elite... or so I thought, haha.

After searching throughout the month of May and June, had no luck what so ever, then a few days ago, actually found one online, so I jumped on it. But then I found out after a visit to the mall yesterday that Gamestop had received a shipment the day after I was in there. Which is crap because the manager gave us an "under the table" type talk, saying none were expected until maybe September.

Oh well, I'm set up with Gears, Forza 2 and quite a few other things, so thats fine.

To see if anyone else had an Elite? Or to share whatever whack stories you have about getting yours. I just kind of wanted to put that out there. Haha.

Damn... I was hoping this was a thread about someone releasing Elite on the 360... us paupers in the UK don't have access to the 360 Elite - in fact, all our 360's are original xboxes spray-painted white (badly). We're happy with what we can get here...

The Japanese release for the 360 Elite is October 11, so I reckon us UKers will get it around the same time as them. Maybe even before; my local Game claims they're getting a bunch of black peripherals in late August or early September. It would be strange to launch the black controllers without the machine to go along with it.

I'm really only interested in the 120GB HDD anyway; I might just import one rather than wait.

I was going to say something about Bush and our ever decreasing civil liberties in the USA.

Then I remembered the Brits have cameras on every city corner watching citizens.

You can't blame me for Bush. I hate him juat as much as the next person, and I am not even old enough to vote...
But I do pay tax on all the video game sI buy and he is wasting all our money on that damn war instead of donating it to the American Diabetes Foundation. Therefore he is an asshole.

U.K will most likely be getting in Elites sometime in early Fall. Microsoft is more influenced/interested in European countries than Asia (Japan) because of the lack of following in Japan, and the large following in places like the U.K.

But hold on, what again is better about the 360: Elite?

Meh, I don't think thats worth $100 more honestly, they should have jst kicked the original 360's with and without the HDD's and made the elit the new and o nly one you can buy. It wasn't much of any upgrade... But it does look hella cooler.

For the extra $100 it cost for the elite, a person could spend $20 more and get a PS3 tard pack and then have the two game systems.

Microsoft was doing this to appeal to more gamers types though. Like, the crappy Core, for the "I don't know what the hell gaming is" people, Premium for the regular/hardcore gamers, and the Elite also for the regular/hardcore gamers, who wanted a little something extra, and didn't already have an Xbox 360

Got yah... Hey, if I do get the money, I might buy another 360, should I get premium or Elite??

I just realized that the Wii is the only console without that kind of choice... nifty.
