From the website that brought you the most exciting podcast since "Anna Nicole's Healthy Living" comes news that Sony has partnered with Quantic Dream (sounds like a good name for a mattress or air purifier) to bring us something that will change the world of gaming forever. Something that will leave us all gasping for air, after being overwhelmed with the emotional investment we will make in this amazing new game.

.... If you're holding your breath for a title or an idea of just what the hell they are talking about, you might want to be sure your life insurance premiums are paid up. Because that's all we know at this point. Something amazing is going to happen on the PS3.

Is it that bad over at Sony that they are basically sending out press releases now to say.... "We're doing something"?

And while we're on that subject, why set yourself up to underwhelm people? Haven't you hurt people like Rothbart (Sean) and the dozen-or-so other PS3 owners enough? Why not try a little humility and actually OVER DELIVER on consumer expectations?

EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT!!! It's another Threespeech Exclusive! "Something's Happening: Details by December."

umm... :-?

Isn't something happening ALL the time? :-/ Don't see why we need any company telling us that they are doing something at 1 point.

Quantic Dream are a mo-cap studio, so my guess would be that it's something to do with the EyeToy.

"This just in, a report from Threespeech. They are announcing a game with a scale that just might blow Halo 3 out of the water. What the game is about or any other details, they have no further comment. Could it be? Resistance 2 already???"

heh

Well I was just reading through their website which had a link talking about their partnership. I quickly clicked on and read through it expecting some details on it, but nothing. They said information coming soon, E3 I'm assuming?

Since Quantic Dream made Indigo Prophecy I'm expecting something good to come from this...

They are announcing a game with a scale that just might blow Halo 3 out of the water. What the game is about or any other details, they have no further comment. Could it be? Resistance 2 already???"
heh

I'm thinking Kill Zone 3.

Well since they like the bogus info ("4D" graphics)
Maybe they are gonna try and say Halo Wars will be on PS3 also...

I'm so done with announcements of announcements and announcements that have no content at all. It's such a waste of readers time. If I got all worked up every time some game company claims they're going to revolutionize <insert> then I'd probably be in a constant state of worked upedness.

Call me when they've got something to show. And when I say something to show, I mean "show me running on native hardware, not pre-rendered/concept/target footage". This kind of crap has gone on too long and just about everyone's guilty. I'd be happy as Hell if I never heard about upcoming games until they were within 3 months of hitting store shelves. That gives them plenty of time to get buzz going, get reviewers in print magazines to get their stories printed, etc. But I realize this isn't practical because then devs would just start delaying their games... "Oh, yes, we had every intention of shipping within 90 days but we've had setbacks and it will be an additional 180-200 days until it's ready (to be delayed again)". No matter the system, it gets played.

Let products speak for themselves. Tell me about the fancy stuff after I've decided I give a damn about your game, don't waste my time beforehand... I'm most likely going to ignore your game anyway...

Hear, hear! I think you nailed Sony´s biggest problem right there! (Well, apart from not having any interesting exclusive games of course.)

I really hope that "Heavy Rain" is not Quantic Dreams' planned exclusive for the PS3. The "Audition" trailer they put out was mind blowing.

In fact, I hope the exclusive falls through simply because Indigo Prophecy was so good (despite the crappy action sequences). I want MOAR, dammit.
