Well I pre-ordered Halo about 4 months ago. The morons at Wal-Mart decide to ship the game the day it comes out, so I can't play till Saturday night. What is the point of pre-order?:mad:

That sucks. I got mine from Gamestop and with overnight shipping they garantee delivery the day it comes out. Ive got my copy :) BNut serously I really am sorry

I feel your pain man, mine was shipped yesterday, which means im probably waiting until the weekend as well, it totally sucks, why not post it 3 or 4 days before the release???

That's why i selected super fast 24 hour serivice

I guess in these cases pre-ordering just means you are reserved a copy for sure, now when you actually get a copy thats a different question all together.Sorry to hear that.

i ended up pre-ordering the game back in like jan or feb at a gamecrazy by my house. but i ended up buying the game at the store i work at for less...plus i got it at the midnight launch :-)

it must be different over here [uk] for pre-ordering because if we do it online we're gaurenteed to recieve it 1-2 days prior to release day.
so my halo3 arrived on the 24th [released on the 26th here].
good news for us but it sucks for you guys if you only get it on release day!

You must be one of the lucky ones, i pre-ordered my online, and it only arrived today

I Preordered Legendary edition from PC world for the helmet...

Seeing as how I don't own a 360 therefore I can't play the game... I can wait...

I pre-ordered the game for SupaSlick and of course his 360 dies.

What a bummer of a birthday gift for him. :(

This is why I pre-ordered in-store. The folks at my local EB Games (yes, it's still called that up here) are actually semi-competent, so I got my copy on Day 1 no problem. They even knew about the scratched disc problem with the LE. Not something I expect from the average EB employee.

You're right, probably would have been a better idea to pre-order in store.
But unfortunately I can't stand most people in retail, especially EB for some reason. I just found out about this independent game store called Game Center (downtown Toronto) so I think I'll do my pre-orders with them from now on. I hear they are good.
