ploogle 10-01-2007, 04:52 PM Where are you Majoras Mask? Why can't I buy you!
Ya, that was a pretty stupid move on their part to not release Majora's Mask yet. One of the best games there was for it, next to OoT. Where the HECK is retro Smash Bros??? I wanna use GC controls for it FINALLY!
Digitalistic 10-01-2007, 11:28 PM Gunstar Heroes
Super Mario World
Super Mario 64
Mario Kart 64

I need to get Super Mario World, Haven't played that in ages.
Mr Eibmoz 10-02-2007, 04:46 AM None! :D
If they added online play to them I'd be buying them all though! As they are, you can buy the originals for Nintendos asking price and everyone knows "original cart + hardware = better experience".
I dont know why it just does! ^_^
Yousty 10-02-2007, 09:07 AM STOP PAYING THE RIDICULOUS PRICES THAT THEY'RE CHARGING FOR 10 YEAR OLD GAMES!
They'll never lower the prices if you people keep buying them.
ploogle 10-02-2007, 08:56 PM Yousty, think about it. If us forum members stop buying them (...the five that posted here, at least...), then that's not even a 1% scratch in their total sales. We can't convince others to stop even if we tried, and the games are just too fun... :D I personally think it's worth it. You can get about $50 worth of Wii points and buy a bunch of classic games that have AMAZING gameplay, or you can spend $50 on a shoot-em-up snazzy title. Take your pick, but I prefer the retro.
BlueGoggles 10-02-2007, 11:19 PM Yeah, I'm fine with the prices too.
JAcK0R 10-03-2007, 10:44 AM I like the VC and I am fine with the prices Nintendo has set, HOWEVER, I do not think that subverting that model and charging premium prices for certain games is fair. Allow me to list what I have purchased before I delve into that issue:
Super Mario Bros.
Super Mario Bros. 2
Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels
Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Sonic the Hedgehog 3
Actraiser
Kirby's Adventure
Gradius
Kid Icarus
Military Madness
Starfox 64
Super Mario World
Super Castlevania IV
Paper Mario
Metroid
Super Metroid
Gunstar Heroes
So as you can see, I have bought quite a few of them. My concern, however, is the "premium pricing" Nintendo does for certain titles. I understand that there are issues with licensing and sometimes importing (i.e. Lost Levels and Sin & Punishment). I still do not think it is fair to charge more than what is the norm for these games. I was going to get Sin & Punishment until I saw the added 200 points. Call me a greedy mizer, but I think that 10 dollars is already enough for a N64 game, let alone 12 dollars. And if we give in now to this set of procedures, what's to stop Nintendo from pricing these games even higher just to get more of our money?
I know that Nintendo is a company. They are out to make money. But, as a consumer, we should also be attempting to get the best deal possible for the lowest price. We need to check and balance against these sorts of prices.
BlueGoggles 10-03-2007, 04:41 PM I guess why I'm willing to pay the extra 200 points is that the game was translated for the Virtual Console. That takes extra time and is an extra step to bring me a game that I never had the priviledge to play.
Oh yeah, I just picked up Super Mario Bros 2.
BlueGoggles 10-14-2007, 07:18 PM Mario Kart 64! Oh Yeah!

ploogle 10-15-2007, 06:03 PM I've actually never played any of the Toe Jam games. Could someone give me a rundown of it?
Mikey 10-15-2007, 07:11 PM ToeJam and Earl 1-
BORING! Dont buy it.
ToeJam and Earl 2-
OMFG THE BEST GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED! So this is what it is. Sidescroller Co-op game. 1 person toejam other earl. (You can just play 1 player) Humans have just invaded your planet and you must capture them by throwing jars. There are so many different types of humans and each pne must be hit a different amt of times to be captured. Then when you capture them all on a stage you send the back to earth. Each level usually consist of 3 stages. There is a bunch of little minigames also that makes this game worth twice its price. I just bought this yesterday, but I remember playing it when I was like 5, man this truely was the best game on genesis. There are also some other things you must do, but the human capturing is the basic gameplay. This game has a lot of humor elements and you will probably love it. Go do yourself a favor and buy it and play it and beat it. Im only on the eigth level right now, not to sure how many there are.
