View Full Version : Time Splitters franchise Legendtaker117 09-24-2007, 10:12 PM Did anyone play and love the timeplitters franchise. I did and I would love to get a next gen version of it *sigh* I can hope cant I :D GideonB 09-25-2007, 01:45 PM timespilters did nothing for me. it was total crap. i couldnt pass the first level and the multiplayer was a rip off. I would rather play Metroid Prime on the DS (which multiplayer is crap) than play this load of shit. Timesplitters may have done it for other gamers but it didn't do it for me. MurpDog 09-25-2007, 03:17 PM Yes i have and me and my brother played the games like crazy :D Legendtaker117 09-25-2007, 09:28 PM Its just so fricken good, and the single player was amazingly fun. With the map editor added, and all the different weapons. It just was AWESOME!! :D GideonB 09-26-2007, 12:53 PM If i wanted customisation like that, i'll go play NWN. That's all I have to say. If they bring out a Timesplitters game for DS with Online Play comparable to Halo 2/3, I'll get it for the multiplayer. Who wants to play a game that focuses on time travelling unless you are Blinx the cat. Legendtaker117 09-26-2007, 06:09 PM I want to play a game focused on time travel. :D Cause Timesplitters was awesome!! Spoofmaniac 09-26-2007, 09:39 PM Timesplitters 4 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TimeSplitters_4) I Fricken loved the games. I didn't play the first one, but I played 2 and 3. The first time I played Timesplitters 2 was at a friends house. We had a lot of fun on his gamecube version of it. Then I bought Timesplitters: Future Perfect on the xbox. Loved that too. I loved making maps, and sharing them online. Hopefully there will be a 4th installment on the 360. Legendtaker117 09-27-2007, 12:19 AM I remember reading something similar to what you linked to, it would suck if it was only Wii.:( shadowtech 09-27-2007, 11:09 PM I had the first one when PS2 launched. I thought it was pretty fun. But man, did it have loooooong load times. ;) GideonB 09-28-2007, 05:20 PM I still want proof that the game is better than other FPS's so I don't understand what is the problem with it. Ala Douche 09-28-2007, 06:12 PM I still want proof that the game is better than other FPS's so I don't understand what is the problem with it. nobody said it's better than any specific game... just that it's fun... it's ok for you not to like a game that others do... plus time travel games are awesome... anyone played the journeyman project games? Legendtaker117 09-28-2007, 06:18 PM nobody said it's better than any specific game... just that it's fun... it's ok for you not to like a game that others do... plus time travel games are awesome... anyone played the journeyman project games? I liked timesplitters future perfect better than Halo 2, but I can see that Halo 3 is gonna be one of my favorite games. :D Also no, I havent played Journeyman. Ala Douche 09-28-2007, 06:25 PM they're older games for PC... puzzle type games. i thought they had a really cool depiction of the future. Necrath 09-29-2007, 07:49 PM Red faction Time splitter 2 Halo These wear the FPS i played creazy and loved the most. mainly, because of the kickass spilt screen action. I am not a big online console gamer, but these games have my vote. how can you not like shooting monkey's? There is more stuff to do in this game then any other FPS i know (missions, mapmaker, in dept bot setup) -OFFTOPIC- just to get back at red faction i had 1 and 2 on the PS2, there was a P.C version of 1 whit online gaming, whits i played a bit at a friend. then i went to the store to get Red faction II on my pc just to find out it DINT have online seport... WTF Ala Douche 09-30-2007, 10:13 PM i played red faction 2 on PS2... i thought that game was awesome... the semi-destructible environments were awesome! Rapahatsutt 12-02-2007, 12:44 PM timesplitters is great. the multiplayer is awesomness in virtual form. best multiplayer ever. CHIMPA-CIDE! Amathev 12-02-2007, 01:25 PM I really enjoyed Timesplitters 2 on the Gamecube, I didn't play the third one but I'll probably get the fourth. Monkeyboo2 12-23-2007, 02:36 PM Yeah Timesplitters:Future Perfect had awesome Multiplayer (aswell as fun campaign) and i have to boast that i was rank 72 in the world on PS2 for TS3. Online was ace. Can't wait for TS4, hoping to go even further into world rankings this time, especially with more ppl to beat on Xbox live! Rapahatsutt 12-23-2007, 03:28 PM wow rank 72! class. yeh i cant wait either for TS4 and neither can my friend who does nt have an xbox or ps3 but may get one when it comes out cos he loves TS so much Tinman 12-23-2007, 09:43 PM i loved the hell out of those games, dude. I also made kick-ass maps that kicked tons. DanceDance 05-09-2008, 05:49 PM I never played online, but I played A LOT of split screen and system link TimeSplitters: Future Perfect. That game was great. Here's hoping that we can get that fourth one soon! Fleeka 05-11-2008, 04:33 PM Three reasons why timesplitters was brilliant: 1) The storyline. Even with the entire time-travel thing, the game kept flowing properly. I never played the first and the second was really hard, but the third is one of my favourite games ever, proved by the next point 2) The humor. Through the robot's last words in 3 'I only wanted to be loved' down to cortez's catchphrase (It's time to split!) these games were pure genius. I barely ever laugh at in-game jokes, but Timesplitters threw them at you with such pace and awesomeness, I couldn't help it. Best bit: The radio-controlled cat. 3) The Monkeys. They started off with the normal monkey, but then they slowly evolved them into the ninja-monkeys, zombie-monkeys and robo-monkeys. There is seriously nothing bad about these games. They planned the entire thing from the beginning too because If you look at the cliffs at the end of the first level, you can see cortez in his time assassin getup sniping things for you. They also handled time travel perfectly, lacking paradoxes and so on...except for THE ENTIRE DAMN STORYLINE. RaiseHavok 05-11-2008, 05:49 PM In my opinion, Timesplitters 2 is one of the best multiplayer games every created. Elijah Jones at the Mexican Mission with two double barrel shotguns. Amathev 05-11-2008, 06:08 PM I think I'll pick up Timesplitters 3, it's not like it costs a lot. Mexor13 05-11-2008, 08:22 PM Time Splitters two was great, I loved all the modes and characters. It wasn't ground breaking, just a solid game. Loved the Co-Op feature as well. NecrisJ1MM 05-11-2008, 10:52 PM I rented TS Future Perfect from gamefly and have been currently playing it. I remember playing it with an old friend back in the gamecube days. Lots of fun I've had with that game. And the map making is awesome. Really like the guns and especially the skins. Great series IMO. Hope to see TS4 someday. |
