You know me and well... the facts... *since when is HD-DVD the prominent format?

According to this source (http://www.maxconsole.net/?mode=news&newsid=18213):

B-ray 5/1 Edge Over HD DVD Players, PS3 accounts for 1.4 million out of 1.5m players

Research has found that Blu-ray players are in approximately 1.5 million United State homes, that's five times more than its fierce enemy the HD-DVD. Interestingly DEG state that 1.5 million homes feature blu-ray players, with 1.4 million PS3's contributing to this figure. Further to this there are 300,000 HD-DVD homes in the US with 150,000 of this figure consisting of the Xbox 360 HD-DVD attachment.

So while HD-DVD may hold a slight lead in stand-alone units, these numbers would seem to indicate that means exactly nothing in the big picture...



UPDATE: Word to the wise, a little birdy told me that the InterCooler can invalidate your warranty. *Just so you know... under certain circumstances it can actually result is discoloration to the 360's case which the repair guys are trained to check for. If they're present, I heard your unit could be shipped back unrepaired.

That report came out AFTER the Blockbuster announcement. AFTER.

Still think its too close to call. As that article says their whole advantage is built on a console that is not living up to its potential.

I'm glad to see that we are getting such a positive responses. We also welcome bashing, fact corrections and opposing opinions. My mom is looking over my shoulder, she says hi.

Grrreat podcast, really funny and also clever; threespace could learn alot (ooh that was soo bad my ears wanted to bleed). I cannot believe the quality of your show, it was better than most UK radio and miles better than many other pods around on the net.

Keep up the wonderful work chaps, you have great singing voices.

Just one thing, do I really have to use itunes to grab it, any chance of a MP3 'rightclicktosavetargetas' link (unless I missed it).

So does anyone know how to revers the order of these things? There's an update for the forums coming out soon. maybe that will help. THis is an older (FREE) application.

There is a plugin for YaBB v 1.5, although you're using v 2.1 and it may be not compatible with this version. http://www.boardmod.org/mods.php?dl=772&filename=Reverse_Post_Order_mod_beta_1_5.zip

I have two questions to you, Doc:
1) why do you want to reverse the order?
2) why are you using such a shitty forum platform as YaBB? :P Reversing post order would normally be just changing two or three lines in the forum's code, although YaBB is written in Perl - the worse possible programming language.

1) why do you want to reverse the order?

I prefer to read them in reverse order too... when you're constantly checking up on things, it's best to have them reversed... if you're loading a page with 10 posts and only 1 is new, you have to wait for it to load, scroll down, let all the images pop in, scroll back down again, and then read... but in reverse order, the newest response is listed first and most of the time you can read new posts without scrolling down at all (or just one or two posts). If you're reading a thread you haven't been following, you're inconvenienced a bit by having to start at the last page, but it's a good trade off.

And most forum packages I've used offer this as a per-user option, not a change in the code of the forum software itself. I read the GamerCastNetwork forums in reverse chronological order, but mainly because I'm all over them throughout the day and rarely have more that a few new posts in each thread as I check.

And Dave, I'm glad you don't hate fact correction... it's a fault of mine. I know. Tell you Mom I said hi and thanks for the brownies. They tasted just like the ones from Safeway, right down to the disposable aluminum tin and half torn barcode on the bottom... :-?

Nice podcast, the sky is the limit for you guys. I see this becoming a must visit site for gamers in the near future.

The podcast is great and I like the idea of mentioning topic connected with games, but mainly just making fun of everything (especially of living with parents), but - as I've said before - 30 minutes per a week (or even a fortnight - or even a month! :-? ) is too short for me. Unless you aren't working 24h/day, you could make it a little bit longer... just to let us laught a little more ;)

Oh, and you've used two out of your three songs, Doc. Will you record some new ones for each podcast? :)

phpBB is the best free forum software I'd recommend, although if you have some money and want to get a solid, stable discussion board, you should either use IP.Board (http://community.ipslink.com/board/, also known as Invision Power Board) or a custom-made one. And if you an appropriate server, you'd better forget about using PHP - it sucks.

Yea an old clan from my Halo 2 days used that and it was the greatest.

We are DEFINETLY moving to a different forum software in the near future. To let everyone know, I will be out next week on a much needed vacation. While I am gone, Rothbart will be minding the store. He and Matt will keep all entertained I am sure.

Another thing we plan on doing is jazzing the site up. Nothing crazy. We're going to try to put together our actual logo, and try to make the forums and the site look a little more seamless.

This has been a monstrous undertaking for me, and I'm glad to have your feedback.

After my vacation, I promise to get a plan together for the forums.

In the meantime I have about a week's worth of work to get done at my PAYING job before I can be gone.

The podcast was done very well guys, congrats.

It didn't sound cruddy, a plus. It was entertaining, not ridiculously long, and had humor, all of that is great.

Didn't find any flaws or anything, so once again, great job!

I kinda thought it sounded too much like a radio morning show. I thought I was going to hear a honking horn during some parts. Not that I didn't like it, but I think it sounded a tad over-produced. I'm sure this will all be worked out after a few shows. Maybe you should have different sections of the show, possibly a satirical news story or two, some fake satire commercials and some real news and discussion. I was kinda expecting to hear some of the satire in the podcast that you are all very good at. Great job for the first episode though.
