How much would you pay for an early copy of Halo 3? One Australian reputedly paid $124 on eBay for a leaked copy of the game.

Pay to play... a little early.

The Australian eBay listing, which has now been taken down, displayed the above two images for proof of authenticity.

If accurate, the buyer would have paid more than double what the standard version costs upon release on September 25. Collector's and Legendary editions will respectively retail for $69 and $129 in addition to the standard's $59 price.

From what I read from another thread here, they're already paying crazy high prices in Australia for released game.
I think I'll wait until it's actually released.

He's one lucky mofo... that's for sure. Then again, wait 2 weeks, save 60 bucks. I'm surprised Microsoft didn't send robo-laser ninja monkeys to silence him.

I don't think they will, when some wallmarts started selling Halo 2 early they said "lucky you, you get it early"

Halo 2's did (though a few levels were good), but Halo 1's campaign is widely liked a lot more.

Halo 3's campaign is supposed to be a more "cinematic experience" this time around. It is the conclusion of a trilogy, after all... Anyway, I wouldn't be so quick to denounce it. I personally have high hopes for it.

Considering I sold My Bioshock Limited Edition with the faceplate for 280, thats cheap as hell. Wonder if people arent going as crazy for Halo as they did bioshock.

If I had of known, I would have tried to buy it simply to resell it.

Halo 3 has been SOO hyped, it's practically a goldmine.
