This is the first Madden I've owned for 4 years. I've bought NCAA twice since then. I'm feeling a little lost and need alot of practice. But there are alot of new great features since I las played.

Football games online are kind of like RTS's online. If you don't have your cheap little strategies, you'll suck.

The online is nothing like off-line.

Yea, I have played enough sports games to know that the computer isn't anything like playing online.

I just thought after 3 years of playing online, i would get better. oh well.

Hey Frawlz... I heard that there was a way to set the AI up in a way that will make the game a lot harder but not as hard as the all pro setting or whatever its called this year. Maybe that would help your game out.

I have to admit, playing on-line isn't as much fun as playing in my living room against my brother. About the third quarter is when the controller goes flying and he storms out of my apartment...Just Golden!!! Then I get a message over live about 5 minutes later....it usually has some use of the word "Bitch" in the message such as..."stop using the Bears and I will whip your BITCH ass" or "Your still a BITCH...Lets go Gears of War, HO"

Whatdya mean? What's missing in the 360 game that the PS2 version has?

Personally, I think Madden 08 is terrific. The best Madden I've seen in years.. amazing what EA Sports can do when they have some competition.

Well what I have noticed that is missing from the last gen games...
#1 Madden...he is announching the games for 08, but on last gen. He has been MIA for 2 years now.
#2. There are no options to return Kick offs to the right or left...there are for punts, but not kick offs.
#3 Speaking of kick offs, you can't squib kick...you have to do it manually. I don't have the time or patience to sit and doink around with kick offs of all things.
#4. the fanchise mode isn't nearly as deep as it has been. If you were to take the options of raising ticket prices and all that stuff from the last gen games and mixed it with the ability to move your team in this years installment...that would be the sh*t.

Other then that...I think it is 100 times better then 07.

sorry I forgot one more point...
#5 defensive adjustments...I hate that I can't double team a reciver like you could do on the previous gen games.

I watched a YouTube vid that documented a lot of bugs in Madden '08. The guy that did it was all cussing at EA and calling them cheap and other choice names.

I must say that vid added to the fact that Madden is Madden is Madden is Madden no matter what year you buy; I think I'll wait 'till next year. :)

I picked up all three football games this year, as I'm a sports game junkie, and I have to say, that while Madden has made some great improvement over the previous next-gen editions, this game was third on my list.

NCAA08 is a much better game than Madden, in pretty much every respect. From the announcing to the general gameplay to the options, to even the achievements, NCAA shows why year after year they are the game for the serious football fan.

APF2K8 had some issues, just like Madden has some issues, but overall I found their game to be a more realistic portrayal of football than Madden. The openings in the zones were more noticeable, the blocking was better, and the realistic quarterback play, were some of the reasons I moved it ahead of Madden in my rankings. On top of that, the announcing team just blows away the tinny radio voice that Madden has thrown at us. Given the agreement EA has with ESPN, you would think that at the very least they would be able to get the Monday Night Crew to pitch in.....imagine hearing Ron Jaworski get excited about a play you made in Madden.
