View Full Version : I will never find one
duffydirect 08-21-2007, 07:51 PM It's been months and still it's impossible to order the wii on Amazon or to waltz into my corner Wal-Mart to buy a wii.
I feel like I'm Oprah back when she was as fat as a gestated baby elephant searching desperately to lose weight. Her bodymass being my desire to swing a virtual tennis game, and the cure to weight loss being a wii, that is.
Chemical_Burn 08-21-2007, 09:41 PM Funny, here at my local wal-mart I actually saw about 4 wii consoles sitting on the shelf for the first time since November. Usually in the mornings Ive seen this giant line-up that takes up literally the entire electronics department hoping for wii's to show up.
firestormgamer 08-22-2007, 03:43 AM what i always found funny, was that we have an abundance of Wii's here in Australia, particularly at the store where i work, we have approx 15 at the moment, its quite crazy how many other places around the world can't seem to get enough and we cant seem to move enough of the suckers

Wow... I didn't know gathering dust on a small white plastic object could help me lose weight... because that's all my Wii does... gather dust.
duffydirect 08-23-2007, 03:37 AM maybe the real key to the weightloss is having to walk to the mall and gamestop every weekend to see if any got in!

Oh, you mean the Wii game that has online play. Zing!
Yeah, while it may be fun, it's got 0% draw for me...

Play Metroid
rothbart 08-28-2007, 01:29 PM Play Metroid
Isn't Metroid's release date today? I was mocking the Wii's online gaming offerings. It's undefendable, don't even try....

Haha, I'm sure as hell not gonna argue that point. I'm not even close to stupid enough to try and argue that Nintendo's online support is god-awful. And yes Metroid came out today and I was able to put in a couple hours already and it's a lot of fun (see my other post (http://www.docadamsaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=536) about that). Definitely the 2nd best game on Wii so far (behind Zelda).
rothbart 08-28-2007, 02:16 PM My buddy's buying it, I'll play it when he gets tired of it or beats it, whichever comes first.
Mikey 09-01-2007, 06:40 PM Wii Online is actually good. Pkmon and Madden suck online, but thats not directly the Wii's fault. I have only experienced lag 2 times on strikers. And have never got diconnected. So, I say it will be a fairly good service once more games start to come out.
