Just out of curiosity, which game or feature you think would make you buy a PS3, if you don't own it, obviously.

For me it's God of War III and maybe GT5 (if you haven't already check out the screens for GT5 prologue). Also, Dual Shock 3 bundled instead of Six Axis.

For me, PS3 is worth buying right now. I can hardly afford all the games I'd like to buy, though, so getting a PlayStation will have to wait a little bit longer.

so the already released exclusives don't catch your eye at all? Like Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Warhawk, Motorstorm, Heavenly Sword, Lair, UT3, Resistance: FOM, EOJ etc etc. I know, shooters, racers, action adventures, platformers and card games might not be your thing, but which exclusives are you waiting for? If you are waiting that is? Like MGS, GT5 or Haze? This isn't meant to sound rude btw, it's a serious question :D

If i didn't already have a PS3, and was solely basing it on this year, i would get it for GT5 Prologue first, as in I'd would buy the system with GT5 as its the first of the huge line-up coming, with the premise of MGS4, Haze, Lair analogue controls, LBP, Killzone 2 and Resistance 2. Oh and FF13 if it comes out this year :P Everything else is a perk.

Killzone2, Haze and MGS4 all look like things that might be good.

so far, the only game that really appeals to me is warhawk.

I'm not sure about LBP, but resistance 2 definitely looks like a killer app.

I don't really have enough cash to be considering right now, but I would need a good RPG (not oblivion) and a couple more shooters. If I got Haze and Mass Effect was ported over, I would be happy. I have played Drakes Uncharted (my friend got a ps3) oh man, the water looks so good. Storyline isn't the best...

It was the prospects that got me to buy it. Plus the wireless FREE online play, which was something I had been craving since I got my 360 and realised that I had to use a cable every time I wanted to play online, and I had to pay 40 quid a year for online play.
I knew when it was announced that the PS3 would be in my room at some point. I had to buy the console myself, and it was the first console I ever bought myself. I paid 355 quid (most of it exchange credit and Cex) and I never looked back. Offloaded my Wii and chunky (almost wrote something worse then b accident) iPod, and a few old games for it, but it was the prospects that got me to buy it.

Well I already have a PS3, but if I didn't, a new SMT or FF game would definitely make me buy one.

better online service. or maybe that's just the crapiness of guitar hero online. oh well. psn is fine except for the fact that I can't invite friends on gh3.

Final Fantasy is the game I'm waiting for. Until then I'm happy with my 360.

I already have school that sucks up most of my time, and when I get my gaming on I'm usually on the 360 or the PC playing Dawn of War or various flash games on the intarwebz. If Sony can put a stasis field into the PS3 that freezes time and lets me game, then I'll pick it up.

Resistance Fall of Man, CoD4, UT3 with Haze coming and every other multiplatform fps. 2. i HATE fps's on consoles, untill i played Resistance, the controls are amazing! And then i played the xbox CoD4, got the PS3 version next, the controls were the exact ****ing same....****ING EXACT. So where in all of the earth did you 'hear' that the ps3 controls were rubbish? Was it by any chance your own anus? Because you are talking a load of crap. I dislike the Halo 3 controls, i think the are sluggish and messed up, whereas CoD4 has them perfected i think. So in all fairness, the Xbox controls are worse due to only one of the games being competent. So yeh, please play the controls before judging them thankyou very much. Then tell your parents its a DVD, Blu-Ray player, Movie storage and DivX player, Music Player and Photo-Album in one. Might help? I convinced my house mates parents to buy a blu-ray reader, writer and a PS3 just due to my argument about Blu-Ray. So just keep talking about the HD revolution, Blu-Ray being dominant and will work easy like. Of course that mean PS3 in the Living Room which serves you right for not saving up for it :P

Well, strictly speaking, CoD4 controls aren't the same on the 360 and PS3 - on PlayStation, you shoot/aim down the sight with R1 and L1, whereas on 360 it's RT and LT (the counterparts of R2 and L2). At least by default.

I know that a controller can't suit all gamers' taste, but I enjoy playing with the 360 controller more than with SIXAXIS/Dual Shock (too small for me), and that was actually one of the reason why I've chosen 360 over PS3. Many people enjoy playing with the PS3 controller, though, so saying that it's not good for FPS is a very biased opinion, one has to judge it by oneself. The main differences between the two consoles' controllers are the different position of the left analogue stick, the weight, the size, and the triggers.

Sorry? I was just stating what I heard. From my friends I've gathered that the "triggers" aren't too great on the PS3 controller. I may be wrong. I don't mean to be offensive.

Also, yes, I do value my gaming time, as I only get an hour or so to play on school days, and most of that time is on the 360. If the PS3 lure me away from the 360, then the problem is gone, yes.

Finally, I don't care about Blu-ray. I didn't give a **** about HD-DVD, and I'm, not going to give a **** about blu-ray. All I want is something to game on.

It's all personal preference, and so far the PS3 doesn't exactly make me want to run out and buy one like the XBox did. If I get to play it more, than I might want to. Until then, please, do fly off the handle about stupid crap like this.

Well, it sure wouldn't hurt to know if Sony is done tweaking the system, or if more SKUs are in the works. I might be needing two PS3s, so it'd sure be nice to know if I had other choices coming besides the 40GB and 60GB

For me it was the game selection. I love Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted looked Great, So games is the selling point. (MGS 4 and MGS Online. SO damn waiting for those suckers.)

really though, what sells the ps3 to me is Resistance 2, seriously that game looks like it is shaping up to be amazing, Little Big Planet also looks pretty cool.

All it needs is a game or 3 that draw me in, and are NOT FPS/RTS, NOT available on one of the platforms I already own, and if if it MUST be FPS/RTS, it HAS to have keyboard mouse support.
