Lord help me for opening myself up to this...

Am I the only person that liked the 3DO gaming system? It had some really good games - and a lot of god awful ones - like Foes of Ali, a game with about a thousand different camera angles from opponents view, judge's view and blimp view. BLIMP VIEW in a boxing game! It had Daedelas Encounter, PO'ed, Crash N' Burn, Road Rash, Gex, and every Dragon's Lair out there. It even had a Jurassic Park game based on the book, it was the first game to scare the piss out of me. It had everything, even the beginnings of DVD/Game platform combination, I had a couple of episodes of the Batman cartoon from that era on disc. So, why is there no love for the 3DO out there? Hell, there isn't any hate out there for it, ignored like it was a turbo grafix 16 or the Jaguar. Can anyone explain that to me?

Ahead of its time and expensive. It was like the Neo-Geo home system; big, flashy, and expensive.

Although I loved the games that I had the good fortune to play on it, but they became available for cheaper on later systems. Man I loved me some PO'ed back in the day, nothing was better than being a tubby chef on a space station with a jet pack. The weapons for the time were pretty gosh darn fun.
