Manhunt 2 has just been given Clearence for release in the UK, but is anyone going to buy it or does anyone even care about what is basically a half year old game on a last gen platform.

Hells yeah! ... I still play the first one often enough and it pissed me off to no end when Man2 got banned in Ireland. Which, I might add, never woulda happened if it hadn't been included on the Wii!

I myself do not believe that anyone will care about that game. By now most of them will already have the latest gaming system already.

Manhunt 2 is Bull****. Its a murder simulator. 'nuff said. People get killed by you and then it happens in real life

The first one held my attention for around five minutes, so, no I don't care that they made a second one.

90% of gamers that will play it believe that since it was nearly banned, it must be cool and go buy it without a second thought.

cutting out the Family Jewels and Ripping spinal cords isn't my thing. I Like running Over Hookers and Beating up School Girls.

i downloaded the psp version (uncut) and i understand why it got banned, although it's still not as bad as everyone made out
however, were here to talk about the quality of the actual game, and for that i think it is pretty exceptional for a psp game. The plot keeps you going, although it can feel slightly disjointed at times with seemingly random flashbacks. But overall it's pretty good fun, and there are some very good slealth/puzzle sections (that admittedley usualy end in a grusome killing)

I hate the way everyone focuses only on the violence in Manhunt ... as if that's the only aspect of the game.

What I loved about the first one was stalking from shadow to shadow and dispatching a group of 5 or 6 armed thugs one by one. It felt like a real accomplishment even it was a bit easy at times!

Plus Brian Cox's excellent voice work for Starkweather really helped set the creepy atmosphere.
Kinda like Peter Stormare's character in 8mm, he was a complete sleazebag who thrived amongst the worst human excesses!

'Course the small minded out there always take the knee-jerk, politically-correct reaction and remark about how awful the graphic violence is, as if society doesn't gorge itself on sex and violence every damn day anyway.

The Manhunt series has never appealed to me, I have never seen anything about it that makes me go and find out more.

Its personal preference I guess.

Well that right there is a perfectly reasonable attitude! :w00t:

You don't like the game ... fine ... for whatever reasons.

But what ya didn't do, and I applaud you for it, is run around screaming something like "OMG it's ****in' evil! Kill it, kill it with fire!!"

Now if only everybody, including certain posters *cough*GideonB*cough*, were as sound-minded as you!

Come on man, GideonB is only 12, it's not like his opinion of this game counts.

It would be like me commenting on a kids game, I can call it rubbish, but at the end of the day I'm not the target audience.

It's not meant for him, when he's 18 he'll probably have a different attitude towards stuff like this.

Sure he's only twelve now, but when I was that age and I said or did something inane or stupid, someone older and wiser would correct me.

And thank god too. Otherwise I'd probably be no wiser now than I was then.

It's to his own benefit if he's instructed on how not to be narrow-minded, especially on topics he doesn't truly understand.

In fact that's a lesson you never grow out of!

Hopefully it's one he'll learn ... maybe then he'll find someone better than Jack Thompson to quote!

can i say two things? 1. The people killed in real life because of manhunt is Bull Sh*t the murderers were MENTALY UNSTABLE before they played the game they just got the method they used from playing the game.
2. Manhunt 2 kicks ass
