If Microsoft had a theme song, I would be whistling it right now.

The idea of letting everyday average joes like me think up an idea for an XBLA game and enter it for the chance to have that game actually developed is nothing short of brilliant. Another shining example of why Microsoft has such a loyal and adoptive fanbase for its Xbox 360 console. Not only do they score points with gamers for the very opportunity, but they also score financially from Doritos, the contest sponsor. (You have to work Doritos into the game somehow.) I can't imagine that Doritos is getting this kind of unprecedented access to the multi-million XBL subscribership without ponying up a lot of "cheese".

It's genius like this that makes me feel almost bad for the fact that as of the writing of this article, our Microsoft Surface Parody is #1 across the boards on YouTube.

We may not understand everything they do, but when it comes to the 360, this is a company that was obviously first in line the day they handed out brains and creativity.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to figure out how I am going to work a nacho-cheese chip into my game idea. It's an RPG title, tentatively called "Help Sony Find A Clue".
