Not real surprised since they said it would be a franchise. I hope they do a good job and don't add some half ass multi-player function.

My wife and I are huge fans of the first one so this is good news to us. Our only concern is how they can possibly do a sequel given how the first one has such a finality to it.
Hey, there's a game I'm not getting!
Unless maybe they remove the ridiculous amounts of plumbing and photography

hope fully they improve it, and give it another compelling story. And not bow to pressure and ship a half fast job. But I have faith. Either way we will see in 2 years or so

i dont want a multiplayer at all, i just want another amazing single player experience with a great story full of suspense. Of corse i hope the ending will be far better than the first.

yea that ending was pretty weak, but then again what would you do with an unlimited amount of adam, I know I would give myself every super power I can imagine

The next game is a prequel.

To quote Yahtzee, it seems like Take Two is starting to pick up "The EA syndrome" as well. It just plain sucks that whenever there something unique and genuinely good, these publishers decide it to milk it to death.
I loved the story in BioShock, I loved the fact there were things left unanswered. After a long time there was a game that made me think. Seriously, how many games you see that take reference from a true literary classic like Atlas Shrugged and pull it off commercially as well as critically. Honestly I can't think of any way that they could improve the story of BioShock be it prequel or sequel.

wow , pretty exciting . i hope that it is still good even though 2K boston is not making it . I wonder how Ken Levine feels about his baby being in someone else's hands. Cross my fingers

Bioshock was awesome, and I have to say it had one of the best commercials I've ever seen.

It says that its rumored to be a prequel, Either way it would be a fun game. We still haven't explored anywhere near half of the game world. So that could easily fit in without causing any faults in the story
