This thread has spoiler alert because you might not have played some of these games so I request people to put spoiler tags before posting :)

Mine are (I've tried my best to keep them as spoiler free as possible).

1. Shadow of Colossus
The ending. When I was being pulled in, I tried desperately to hold on, I did till I had no more strength left. I didn't want to believe that what happened was supposed to happen. Even when it was over.
2. Bioshock
Andrew Ryan saying "A man chooses, a slave obeys." and you realizing what just happened.
3. Half-Life 2
The monologue from G-Man at the start of the game. "Wake up Mr. Freeman, wake up and smell the ashes".
4. Portal
Scribblings on the wall saying "The cake is a lie."
5. Half-Life: Uplink
The first headcrab jump in a dark alley.

So here are my Faves :P

1. Aeris' death, not because its a favourite, but because it has stuck in my heart for so god darn long :D

2. Warcraft: Reign of Chaos, two of the best cut scenes ever: Arthas returning home to kill his father and become the Death Knight he was destined to be. And the fight between Grom Hellscream, Thrall and Manaroth, such a good fight :D "Your blood belongs to meeeeee!!!"

3. Jak 2, when he actually speaks for the first time ever! awesome

4. Apocalypse, all of Bruce Willis' sayings like "Feel the burn Kid??" or "I think these guys need a little more Lead in their Diet" rofl :D

1. Finding the scarab gun in Halo2 WITHOUT beforehand knowledge of it's existence.

2. Bioshock's "would you kindly..." plot twist

3. Crackdown's ending when the announcer speaks. (I remember loveing this line because of how true it was at the time and damnit I wish I remembered what he said. Does any else know what the line was?)

either put [SPOILER ] [ /SPOILER] between the text you want as a spoiler (but no spaces, i put them in so it wouldn't actually put a spoiler thing :P). Or on the normal reply window, if you look at the icons at the top, its the button next to the GT button, although you have to highlight the text you want to have spoiler tags around

the last 3 hours of Mass Effect were in-FREAKING-credible
and all two hours of Portal were, as Yahtzee put it, "simply sublime, and if I say that about anything else, I'll put forks through my eyes."

1. The ending to Halo3 - Master Chief is floating in space with Cortana and the MC floating through space together. This proves that I'm a completely hopeless romantic. And, yes, I know that Cortana isn't real.

2. Near the end of KOTOR - You find out that you're Revan. The most powerful Sith Lord in the galaxy. Holy crap.

Excellent post.
Let me think...
Max Payne - The nightmare sequences - the whole experience, the slow pace, the long and slow jumps, the crying baby noises, the path of blood over darkness you have to traverse..... truly chilling.

Hmm.... need inspiration...

Ahh..

Quake - When I first noticed that the ammo box for nails had the NIN logo hehe.

Ultima Online - The first time I took another players life (I can feel me going on too much about this, so i've put my rather lengthy ramblings into the spoiler

Ok, to appreciate this, I need to explain the workings of UO for those who might not have played it. Now when this came out, there was no such thing as PVP... because the idea of Non PVP didn't exist.
This meant while playing, that ANYONE outside of a town was a potential threat. So many times i'd have been walking back to town after a good hour or so in a dungeon, only to be buggered from behind by some rotter who would then proceed to take EVERY LAST ITEM from my backpack....
Now the penalty for a one time kill is only a 5 min cooldown time where you are free game to any other player, so if you want to PK (Player Kill), you can do, just make sure no one is around.

So one day I decided I wanted to try PKing out myself. I walked out of town to a popular mining destination and sure enough, there was one guy there, just picking away at the ore...... I stood for a while and watched him, waiting for my time to strike (if he gets away to town alive he's going to bring back friends). I still remember to this day, my hand nervously on my mouse, cursor over this miner.... ready to click... but I started to have a change of heart, I remember how annoying it was to be callously taken down for no reason... I thought to myself "What has this guy done to deserve this"... Then I decided to stop being a pussy and take his head clean off.

Just the idea that a GAME took me on an emotional roller-coaster is amazing, I know its not really the game which made me feel those emotions, just my own personality being used in an MMO environment.

Command and Conquer -

After beating the game as The Brotherhood of NOD, Kane gave you the option of which target the missile should strike, one of these being the Houses of Parliament. Could not resist it...... CYA BIG BEN!!

That'll do me for now

Resi4: Hearing the chainsaw for the first time, and not knowing where to run

Lumines: Around the point you realise this is better than tetris

Skate: Finding the heltrerskelter deathrun

Asassins Creed and Hitman: Executing well planned assasinations

Paper Mario for the N64, the whole game itself was awesome
The Legend of Zelda the Wind Waker, that whole game was fun
