The first level borrows much of its dialog from the movie, "Aliens." I was watching the movie last night, and I recognized from the movie three phrases, including "three meter spread," "We are leaving," and (when referring to a shotgun) "I like to keep this for close encounters." DO you guys think that they just like the movie or what?

Don't you think they are just commonly used phrases?

Thinking this way, I could say that Princess Bride's screenwriters based the screenplay on Rambo, because the princess said "oh, no" the same way Sylvester did.

It's more that those phrases are used a lot. I'm sure other movies have said that as well... Now COD4 does take lines from movies though. The one I remember is from Airplane!!!

One guy says "Surely you can't be serious?"
And the other replies. "I am. And don't call my Shirley."

I think Infinty ward was just trying to put humor into there game. Like what bungie do in halo 3 with humorous lines when playing campaign.

How many times have you played the first level??

I couldnt quote one line let alone several.

It is probably just a little inside joke...that or like Regua said, the phrases perhaps are a little vague.

Who knows?

eh, it's very possible they took it from aliens, though it's not as obvious as the airplane one (which was on yesterday, btw).

You can't really say that about the shotgun comment...

Its a glitch which you shouldn't do in the first place just people who suck at the game do it to get a advantage.
