I have been on the road for the past couple of weeks. Yesterday I got news that I received a promotion so I decided to treat myself to a new PSP. I got the basic black one. I didn't go with the two packs because I felt I could get the two games cheaply at Gamestop since most people trade in games that come with there system.
I'll spare you with the "what game should I buy" since it has been done 20 times. So my question is what peripherals should I buy?
Obviously a memory stick is a must. Should I go for the 1 gig or 2 gig? I won't be using it for music but I might try to put some movies on it as well as demos and game saves.
Any good recommendations on a travel case?
What other hardware/software is a must own for a new PSP owner?

The first peripheral i bought for my psp slim was a set of headphones.
It makes games like silent hill origins much better when you use headphones so i would recommend that you get some.
I also bought a 2 gig memory stick and that is plenty big enough for me.
I don't have a travel case for the psp so i can't offer advice on that but i do own a umd storage case they hold 4 or 5 umd games and they are pretty useful things to have.

I got lucky with a memory stick at Best Buy. They sell the 2 gig for $49 in the PSP section. I decided to see if there were any more in the camera section and they had a 4 gig for the same price. Probably never use that much but it was a no brainer.

That is a good buy.
Now you can convert some dvd movies and not have to worry about space left on the memory stick.

I remember someone saying something about a camera that can be used with a PSP. Also there is talk about a GPS unit coming out in the future. Try looking into Skype for the PSP too.

Anyways, definately some headphones, a car charger, AV charger, usb cord/charger, and a Wi-Fi setup at your house. The PSP is one of the most convenient RSS devices I've come across yet. (Except for the lack of video streaming, of course.) Additionally, the Internet Radio is pretty cool. And I think Skype's available now, too. So a headset would be useful, too, I guess. And I've noticed how Best Buy does that, too. Do they even realize that their prices are screwed up?
