Well at least that proves that illness doesn't make you less funny ladies! Had me :lol:ing all the way through, especially at 'Purple cows' and 'Oooom' - seriously I nearly died!

Oh and I hope it wasn't Doc that threw up & Peed on your Omni!

Thanks for the mention as well

Why the heck do so many people get motion sickness from Mirror's Edge.

I can get motion sickness easily, but in ME there's just nothing to get motion sick over, yet so many people do.

The "Kick a cat" award for this show goes to "Ooom!"

You can have three guesses where the name for the award came from...
Getting this award is a good thing

About the Wii "light saber" controller extensions; Gamestop has them. They look a little cheap, though. The website says that they're back ordered, but they had them "in store".

Far Cry 2 has the diamonds.

Never heard the Purple Cow thing - but black cows (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Root_beer_float#Root_beer_float) are delicious.

Just noticed this on the same wiki page:
In the context of ice cream soda, a purple cow (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purple_cow) is vanilla ice cream in Concord grape (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concord_grape) soda.

It's such a big difference between listening while you're recording the show and hearing the end product. I almost busted out laughing in my cubicle at work. The cow part was so freaking funny. Go us. I think that was my favorite show so far. If I get motivated this weekend I'll post a picture of my brown hair. It's fading fast though back to blonde.

Make sure you tell a friend or ten about the show...spread the word!

Regarding Canada, a study showed that 1 in 30 Canadians own a Nintendo Wii. As our population is a small 30 million (give or take) I think we're taking up all your stock. :D I would have fallen in the 10% but I didn't like the console very much (nor the PS3) so that pretty much makes me a slave to Microsoft.

I mean, fanboy. Great show ladies and hope nothing's contagious other than laughter.

i just noticed that the background music to the show is some blasting gutbucket metal. thats just funny and awesome.

and about last weeks, another strange place i saw advertising for games was right before a movie, like in the previews. it was for world at war and gears 2.

Great show ladies! You brought up "crazy WoW players," I have just read on the "intranets" that some guy has already hit Level 80. (http://kotaku.com/5086757/wrath-of-lich-king-gets-its-first-level-80) I am not sure what that means in WoW, but I assuming it involves spending a lot of time gaming...keep up the great podcasts!

Yeah, he did it in 27 hours after the launch of Wrath of the Lich King, the new expansion pack. Level 80 is supposed to be the highest attainable level.

Howdy from Australia, I have just been listening to all your shows and think they are terrific. I am a single father with a five year old daughter and we love to game together (in moderation offcourse). Just wanted to say that the delight of playing LittleBigplanet with my daughter would have to be close to my best gaming experience ever. This game is simply drop dead gorgeous and so damn funny.I have been loving watching my daughter laugh out loud again and again. She loves getting her sack girl vaporised just to watch the animation. Even though she needs help getting through tricky sections, she can happily spend time covering the level with stickers and decorations or changing her outfit and appearance for the 100th time while I work on getting us to next section.

Even at five she has quickly pick up the logic of this game and is able to do most things. I suspect this would be the same for most children this age though she has picked up a fair amount of gaming experience by playing through Kindom Hearts II.

As a parent I cannot recommend LBP more highly. The ability to be able to play together on screen with sections of all but the beginning levels designed for two player cooperation make this a fantastic joint game experience. My daughters eyes have been wide with amazement all the way through with constant squeals of delight. I can see this game stirring her imagination like no other.

I have also been exploring some of the user made content and its been amazing, I played this level called 'escape from Alcatraz' and it was of the same quality as the official product. I cannot wait to design my own levels. This gives this game a massive lifespan.

Another game my daughter loves is the DS game 'Trauma Center - under the knife'.:evil:

Anyway love the show keep up the good work.

Take it as you will, but I have a hard time telling your voices apart.

Don't feel bad. It took me ten episodes to tell the difference between rothbart and Frawlz. I'm slow like that.

And I hope you don't catch the plague and die (http://www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=110)

Red show has the reverse bell...and you girls have something even better......ooooooom!

Every podcast a listen to needs a couple of episodes so I could figure out who is who.
The Blu show wasn't one of them.

Howdy from downunder again.

Don't take this the wrong way but on episode five I think you strayed off topic too much. If it was an hour show it wouldn't matter but keep in mind we are listening to hear your analysis of games. I'd take a listen if you haven't already to Gamers With Jobs which in my opinion is the best gaming podcast I've come across. I think its good idea after introductions to let listeners know what you are going to discuss and the flow the program. This helps you stay on topic.

Have been playing Resistance 2 and was getting pretty bored with the campaign, that is not to say its not competent but if you played the first game its pretty much more of the same. Plus the graphics are pretty stock standard. BUT!!! then I tried the co-op mode and it blew my mind, I have not been back the campaign. Great big maps with up to eight of you running through terrific missions while gaining experience, it is the best co op I have ever come across. Hopefully a games company will get you a PS3 when you become more popular so you can review games outside the 360.

Does it piss you off that in games like Resistance 2 and I assume Gears of War that you have to play a male. Even in co op you have to play men, I know women are playing because you see macho gun toting guys in Resistances 2 coop's with names like Nicole and fRAN. It seems to me there no excuse for it anymore and it should be a standard feature TO CHOOSE YOUR SEX. As the father of a 5 year old daughter I want games to empower her not feel that the only powerful character 9 out of 10 time are men.

Been playing Fallout 3, cool game, I hated Oblivion (Great story graphic but boring combat and terrible menu system) but I like this alot. I cannot wait until dialog trees are done away with and we can use speech recognition software to simply ask NPC's questions.

What games do you play with your kids by the way?

Keep up the goodwork

look forward to the next show.
