What are the best and worst MMORPG? I have only played one, Guild Wars. It is not bad.

I would have to say, the best and worst for me personally is WoW.

Best:
Well, because it was damn fun and I've never played any game as much as I played that one.

Worst:
Because it ruins jobs, relationships, etc... basically it ruins lives >.>

I've only played three (Five if you count the last two) total MMORPG's:

Guild Wars: Factions
World of Warcraft
Final Fantasy XI
I guess you could include Phantasy Star Online, but I only played it offline
Also tried the Phantasy Star Universe Beta

Easily, the worst one was PSU. So goddamned boring. And charging up weapons like batteries? No thanks. I was so stoked for a true PSO sequel, and Sega shoved a metal rod up my ass.

FFXI was the next worse. It was also boring and grindtastic. Not to mention superhard. It only gets points over PSU cause one of the weapon classes was Scythe, which I love.

Guild Wars was alright, and I can't bash it much since there was no subscription fees. Still, a level 20 cap was lame.

WoW was the best MMO I've played, but I think that I want to stay away from that genre altogether. The SG guys were right on the podcast, in that MMORPG's are the biggest waste of time and money. Still, I had fun with WoW for half a year before quitting, but I can't imagine myself going back to it for any reason.

For best Priston Tale (Reason; during its first open beta stage, great action and fun)

For worst Priston Tale (Reason; So many hackers, scammers, basically non existant customer support, lack of admins)

Best: Wish (too bad Blizzard bought it out before it was released).

Worst: Not sure, I haven't played any bad MMO's.

Wow definatly tops the list , lets also not forget about Evercrash .... i mean evercrack , wait ill get it ... Everquest (was great until the 1923th expansion and i had to sell my lord of the rings special edition pajamas to buy it)

Dark age of camelot wasnt bad either sieging enemy lands , got addicted to the trophys in my house

Guild wars wasnt bad as long as you dont enter a town and be there for long , the constant whining and complaining drove me mad

worst IMO is Asherons call just plain lame

Star wars galaxys was a huge dissapointment as well

Best: World of warcraft, you can play it for years like me and not get tired of it for more than 2 weeks.

Worst: Everquest, wasnt really fun.

Best for me was: World of Warcraft because all my coworkers play so its allways fun when the group gets together.

Worst for me was: Ragnarok Online. I must have been crazy to play that Korean grindfest for a year >_<

But, I can see where you're coming from...my friends and relatives over there are the hardest of the hardcore...it's almost scary to watch them play starcraft sometimes.

Best MMORPG: I don't know, I don't like MMORPG's much. I'll just say...CS! Lol.
Worst MMORPG: Eh...I'll go with FFXI...it was the first one I tried and also my last. Maybe my opinion of MMORPG's are a bit biased as a result, based on other people's opinions on the game, but I really would rather play fast paced matches online then slow paced, character building stuff.

Best: Eve Online
Worst: EVERYTHING else.

Well I have played, I think, every major MMO...either in Beta or after release.

For me, so far, Age of Conan is the best.

And since everyone is gonna say WoW, I'm gonna say LotR Online is the worst. I wasted the entire Beta trying to help them make it good, but ultimately it was a complete waste of time.

As far as stereotypes go, being the some of the, if not THE, most brutal online opponents in RTS gaming ain't bad. I've been playing Starcraft hardcore for years and I still get smacked down like a 4 year old on the regular from the leagues coming out of Seoul.

I just can't get into MMOs, but I will admit I had some fun with Guild Wars for a month or two.

Rakions pretty good too, if it wasn't for so many hackers killing the game its still decently fun. Damn hackers and glitchers can all go to hell though.

Well, I've played a couple of MMO's over the years. Such as Mu Online, Hero Online, WoW, PlanetSide<-- trial, LoTR beta, Anarchy Online, Star Wars Galaxies<-- only trial and a couple more which I cant remember right now

Best: PlanetSide I wanted to keep playing but I just never happened :/
Worst: Mu Online <HUGE timewaste, it was all just click-click-click, everything you did, you did by clicking.

To wrap this up I'd like to say that I am cursed. In basicly any other MMO engine other than WoW, I am VERY crippled and disoriented.
