Ok so I am a huge RTS fan. I usually get around to playing every RTS titles sooner or later, if only to give it a chance.

But EE3 is gonna be an exception. I have been following the game for a while now, and for a brief second I thought it would be good. Now that the latest videos and interviews have come out, I have stopped.

The game looks like a joke. Like all the devs who could not find work on a good game got dumped together to make this game.

With titles like Sup Com, CoH, StarCraft 2 on the horizon, UaW, WarHammer, WiC and Medieval, who the hell wants to play this hyper generic title?

I watched the most recent interview where they go on and on about their graphics. What graphics? If that is what they have done with DX, they should be ashamed. "our water looks better than any other RTS"...ummm no it doesn't.

They are proud to be using GameSpy for multi, which in itself should set off warning bells for any gamer.

All in all I am very disappointed. Am I the only one? Sheesh, I'd almost rather play CnC3 than this title, which prove how little respect I have for it.

The trailer looks friggen sweet (but they always do), the screenshots n stuff looks just ok.

For me it's a download, and if it turns out that it doesn't suck I'll go and buy it so I can play it online.
In the meantime I still have C&C3.

You know, I may have been a little harsh. I was reacting more to the BS said in the interview. I think I will still give this game a chance...but I am still pretty disappointed so far. I was really hoping they would maintain the sort of game play I enjoyed with EE2, RoN and AoE...but it looks to me they are gonna do something a kin to what RoL became...which is sad. Trimming down resource collection and adding all sorts of flashy super weapons and such is all good...but not if it comes at the price of good gameplay...but until I actually get my hands on it, I suppose it is still possible I am just getting the wrong impression. Either way, they have some really tough competition in the PC gaming market on release.

What's wrong with CnC3? I'd tackle that but it has been done so many times I don't want to derail this thread. Feel free to start a CnC3 thread and I'd be glad to enlighten you.

I'm still holding out hope...I enjoyed the first one and hopefully this one will turn out to be a solid game; but Im not expecting it to blow me away or anything.
