I think a gamer bar could be a cool idea. The problem would be is to find the right balance between gaming and mingling. I believe an SGC Member could pull it off right.

1) ...how does anyone dislike GLaDOS? Seriously, she is Shodan on Happy Pills!!!!

2) Dr. Phill only has one good point.. the funniest soundboard EVER.

3) SHOUTOUT INSANITY!!!!!! (actually, I thought that was absolutely awesome)

and 4) AWESOME salute to the (tied for) 2nd best Evil computer EVER! (#1 SHODAN... tied for #2 with SkyNET)

I don't completely dislike GLaDOS. Just when I'm trying to figure out maps her voice was getting to me. You know like when someone nags you? You may love them but in the moment you don't like them much.

When playing drums on Rock Band try having the foot pedal pressed down the whole time and only lift your foot to hit a bass note. It takes a while to get used to but once you get the hang of it it solves are your shin cramp problems! :thumbsup:

I had tears in my eyes from laughter regarding the gamertag choice. I admit, when I wrote that it was a funny reference to the red show and that it rhymed, but not the context it was taken to. Now I feel even more sick and twisted.

I must concur that as a gamer I'm a dork so there was no offense taken on that comment. Also, best shoutouts EVER! Props to Harlequin on that one. You should keep that as a sound bit and use it every now and again. Now who do I send my addy to? I'm part of Americas hat. :wink2:

I'll answer to Harlequin pronounced as "Harley", "Harlequinn" or "Harlekin". Heck, I'll even answer to "Hey you" or "yo, Dork". At home I answer to "mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy" (anyone with kids under the age of 6 will understand why the repetition ;) )

I don't have kids under the age of six...but a brother and two cousins going "Sam, Sam, Sam, Sam, Sam!!!!!" get's INCREDIBLY annoying.

Anyway, I feel special now that I'm getting a lanyard...even though I want a PS3. That's it. You can give me a PS3 instead.

I think Jax was being "Sarcastic" on both counts, which is why she fits in great with "Sarcastic Gamer" and why we love her! It is all in fun!!

1) Im not sure I would call her wrong (course that leaves alot of room as there are ALOT of gamers out there). I would hope to be among that "2%" (or perhaps 10%? It has to be at least that much to apply to my 5% theory) but that's more about pride then anything else.

OK, so the message is about a week late, but great show!

I actually think involving video games into a social environment is a great idea. Casual gaming is becoming the way of the future, so if you take a game like rock band, and put it out there with the rest of the world, it can act as a starting point for the dorks among us to be able to go out without worrying what people will think of them. I wouldn't do it in the form of a singles bar, (aren't they all singles bars in the end anyway?) but social skill's have to be learned, and eventually that pizza faced four eyed grill monger will learn a few things, and before you know it xHalomazta484x will be chatting it up with someone who values brains over looks (don't worry guys, we do exist).

No problem. The Red Show did that a little bit in the earlier episodes, and eventually stopped using it. It can be a hard for people who have never done a podcast before (at least to my knowledge) to break a 'potty mouth' habit. :thumbsup:
