I just had an idea: What if we all sent Nintendo a letter with our "signatures" (a.k.a. Forum Names) letting them know what we want from their online play? If we got enough sites to do it, then it might make a difference. You never know. I've heard of companies being swayed by a letter like this from fans before.

Not a bad Idea. I like it

It could possibly change some minor things, but not anything major. Dont get me wrong, ill take the minor changes, but I just dont think we could get enough sigs to do much.

Mikey, you're probably right, but what would it hurt?

It wouldnt hurt anything. It would just show the support for the Wii and how much we it to become the best that it can. So, sure.. Give it a try.

All right, I'll write up a letter for you guys to look over...

I will sign it, but just so you know, you will probably have to go on other sites and tell people about this.

I'll totally sign it. That's my only real beef with the Wii. Don't get me wrong, I love the little bastard, I'd just like to play online.

As much as I like the idea of asking Nintendo to improve their online play, I think we'd be taken much more seriously if we didn't use our forum screen names. I mean, Nintendo would probably take a person using their real name more seriously than a signature like "gamerdude84" or something.

But either way, I don't think making a petition to Nintendo will change anything. Though I gotta admit, for what it's worth, I'm glad Nintendo's online service is free.

yeah, I hate that you have to pay for xbox live, which is one of the reasons I don't have it (I own an original Xbox). Seriously though you are paying somewhere between $270 and $400 for a console then $25-$60 for games and then you have to pay a fee to play online, that's just not right.

This is true. We should.

Well they've already dropped the ball big with friend codes. What a hassle of a system to interact with your friends.

They'd be smart to ripoff Live as much as possible.

The only bad thing abouthem ripping off live is us having to pay to use the internet on our console. seriously that is one of the things that put me off the 360

Paying for internet service is retarded, although I have live and enjoy it....
I'm still 100% against it!

no paying for internet service makes sense, however paying for internet service AND paying to play games on the internet on your console doesn't

Thats what I meant. Paying for internet service on a console is retarded.

yeah it's like microsoft needs more money, come on people that is one of the reasons I don't have a 360, I don't want to pay to play

I want a 360 eventually, and wouldn't mind to pay. It's ridiculous, but all the same I think it'd be worth it.

I refuse to pay to listen to little whinny 12 year olds throwing racial slurs and other profanitys at me

SWSilentKiller, you're holding onto the 12 year olds for dear life, aren't you?

BlueGoggles

Number 1; I hate 12 year olds too and I don't play with them online. When I had my 360 (I moved out of the country for the time being and didn't bring it with me) I would only play with my friends and people I knew. And now after seeing Nintendo and Sony's joke of a online service I will gladdly pay for the Xbox Live account. To me, that is the 360's "next-gen" quality, it's fantastic online service. Nintendo's is the Wiimote, 360 is the online, and the PS3....well it looks kind of cool.
