Great podcast guys, congratulations to all those that took part in Extra life. Just one thing, and you may have realized by now Lono but for the benefit of other listeners, you do not have to sell weapons back to the store to buy new ones. You can store them in your safe. Which you can then access from any store to sway stuff around.

To do it you just go to the store and use the inventory screen. Then you push a on an item. It will pop up saying press A to sell, but you can move down to move. Then you can push A to send it to your safe :)

Great show guys I foregot to tell you. And a great way to kick off Extra Life.

Good podcast guys you are usually pretty good with the show, with the exception being this show, more specifically your bashing of Dead Space. I am left to question both Doc's and Lono's credibility or maybe just how good they are at playing videogames :P.

That is because you guys completely slammed the game for letting you carry only 4 weapons saying that the game only allows you to carry those 4 weapons throught the entire game. However is you actually paid any attention to the screen at all you would have realized that the store has a safe option in the store, infact everytime you would have gone to the store to sell anything theres an option that pops up that says Sell or Move "to the safe obviously". It just baffles my mind that you both could have possibly gotten that far into the game and not have noticed the safe option in the store. Not to mention there is a trophy, or achievement over there in 360 land, called pack rat for storing 25 items in your safe. Most importantly you slammed the developers for this so needless to say an apology is definitely owed to the developers and to the game, because people obviously take your opinions seriously and you could have persuaded someone to not buy that game because of your false information, especially when they gave you a retail copy way ahead of the release date.

Besides that good job with the show and Doc it's ok we all know you're a closet PS3 fan even though you love to take cheap shots at the system, it's ok the PS3 community won't hold it against ya. :)

Well first off, I acknowledge that there is a safe option, and I had only played a few levels at the time we did the show. I have since finished the game and still believe that the way weapons are handled are totally borked.

Let me explain. If I have four weapons, I can surely acquire them all, however, power nodes are scarce and once you put one into a weapon, it doesn't come out, so there's A) no incentive to obtain more than four weapons because you cannot obtain enough nodes in the game to power them up to a level that would make them useful, B) You'd have to put a weapon away, to be obtained later, if you simply want to test another weapon out.

I think that the system sucks, but I do really love the game, except for how they handled weapons. So, while there is a option to put stuff into the safe, it doesn't fix the major problem.

Love the dogs, hate the complainers.

The dogs are really good, and unlike the frickin helicopter you have more of a say in defending yourself.

the dogs sound awsome. are they really that powerfull? i saw some game vids on it and they didnt seem to powerfull, but i havent played the beta.

The dogs scare the crap out of me in hardcore. When all you hear is barking and you are just thinking "Please let them be our dogs!"

I like the fact that they thought of a good way around the problem, doing something that feels natural and real rather that anachronistic.

It shouldn't take more then 2 rounds to kill a dog, though. And it's near impossible to see them in the dark on Makin.
