This actually is good news for the Wii. Okami for the PS2 was awesome and probably the most underplayed game on the system.

Not to mention when you think about it, it's perfect for the Wii. Yes it was underplayed and falls under my category of 'Overlooked games'. So now maybe it won't be so overlooked now that it is coming on the wii

This is excellent news -- Zelda was great, but certainly didn't last.

Artistically, the game is outstanding, and on the Wii, I can imagine the painting mechanic working very nicely. This will definately give the people who bought Zelda at launch something to dust off their Wii for... assuming they haven't played it on PS2 yet... and assuming they don't release it any time in the next 2 months.

I was waiting until an announcement of a Wii port was made before getting the game, and it looks like it's a good thing I did. From what I've heard about the gameplay, I'd rather play it on the Wii than the PS2.

Thats true of most cult hits though. Ico/SotC, Giants:CK, Psychonauts, Sacrifice, Hostile Waters etc.. All good games (except sacrifice, that game was mince), but if you bought them after the ravenous fans told you how flawless and fantastic they were youre going to end up a bit disapointed. The less something sells, the more the fans want to get people to play it so they overhype it.

I don't think Okami was overrated, I loved it, the story was great, the celestial brush was fun, if I had any complaint it would be the combat, but that's it.

Meh, I wasn't too crazy about Okami. Well, I was crazy for it before it came out.

I wasn't overwhelmed by it like I had hoped I would have been. It felt a bit like a Zelda-clone, but not for a stupid reason like the similarities in wolves >_>. The dungeon-field-dungeon formula was too familiar and it felt like I wasn't getting anywhere in the story.

I really wanted to love Okami, but I just couldn't. So frankly it coming to the Wii is not big news, at least for me.

Wow, this sucks, apparently the "new" Okami is just going to be a port of the PS2 version using the wiimote as a brush.

Nope. Just on PS2. I hope this means a price drop on the PS2 version or a cheaper Wii version because $30 for a game that has been out as long as it has been is ridiculous. I'm on a "lives with my parents" Dave budget, lol.
