There seems to be no mention of it and when everyones gushing about Portal, it seems strange. Anyway, these devs made this little game, Valve seen it and said "OMG WTF PWN!", threw money at them and got them to basicly remake it as Portal.

Its well worth the download and theres also a load of custom maps to calm your Portal puzzle cravings. Its not pretty (think Quake 1), but its free.

Actually, someone played ND before Portal was ever announced. The inde scene is the best thing about the PC.

I actually know something of the story behind ND...:D

The devs were from Digipen Institute of Technology in Redmond, WA. They were hired by Valve right after graduation...
