10 minutes... we're 10 minutes from the start of the Killzone 2 internet event... the Microsoft event is about over (if not over already). Major gaming sites like NeoGAF.com are at their knees. It's only going to get worse. There isn't an outcome I see that ends without the next hour generating a cubic buttload of posts. Will they be posts of praise, posts of indifference, posts of mockery? Time will tell. My guess is the answer will be different depending on who you ask... as for me? I'm getting the marshmallows and sticks. The internet's gonna burn tonight!

Yeah, I saw that image and read about its context. It's an early pre-alpha in-game shot lit by muzzle flash according to one of the GG devs.

I'm starting to fear the news/media from the Tuesday night even is embargod until after their event tomorrow (argh! I'm volunteering at a Cub Scout day camp during the actual event so I won't get to witness the spectacle as it unfolds, but only the aftermath)

For those that didn't notice the other thread about Killzone 2... Guerilla Games delivered. There are mixed reports saying it's more impressive that Gears of War, but universal praise for the game.

Now we just need to find out when it's really coming out (which has likely already been addressed, but I haven't poured over the details yet as I'm still slightly sleep deprived)

Hey, they even managed to slip some Blu-ray hype into the Killzone 2 event stating that each level of the game is coming it at around 2GB of data, meaning it wouldn't have been possible to fit a game of this size on a DVD (or possibly even two). The event wouldn't have been complete without at least one statement like that.

Looks pretty sweet. Hope the gameplay is as good as the trailer. This could be a PS3 seller.

I'd really like to have some kind of idea how long it'll be before this game launches... I've heard multiple times "2008" but that's 365 days long and doesn't start for another 5 months...

The footage shown was pre-pre-alpha according to the devs (whereas COD4 was represented as pre-alpha). Anybody know a rough date for COD4? I know that's meaningless, but is it supposed to hit in '07?
