I have a question:

Why is the Podcast called SG Pink?

I know that all you lovely ladies are the host, but look at it this way, The "Red Show" is "The sarcastic Gamer.com Podcast", The "Yellow Show" is "The Sarcastic Gamer.com Humpday Update" the "Blue Show" is "The Sarcastic Gamer.com Playstation Podcast".

But the "Pink Show" is "The Sarcastic Gamer.com Pink show" nothing else, even the so called "pink logo" (that is so not pink) says Sarcastic Gamer on the top, and SG Pink on the bottom which is "Sarcastic Gamer Pink"

To me, it looks like Doc could not come up with a name fast enough for the Show, or was to lazy to write something in Photoshop while looking for the color pink.

Don't take me wrong, I like the Theme of the show, but you girls are a part of this community and all the shows that come from this community "even the community podcast" have a better title: I would not like to have a the girls of SG be "left out" or "under represented" or not given equal opportunities as other people, and even other people from the line of Podcast that come from this site and this community.

We actually are just fine with the show being "SG Pink", heck, we're happy to have a show at all! It was Doc's idea to have a female hosted show in order to do just that; represent the female voice in gaming.

I'm really glad you're enjoying the show. We're working on constantly improving, so all input is appreciated. :thumbsup:

Well, I love the show and I know is just starting, but I figured that by now, stuff would already be "even".

I love the show and I was actually refreshing FireFox about every minute today praying I didn't miss the show because I figured if I did miss it, I would have to travel down the page over other post since the SG Pink show does not have a button on the side bar yet (http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb224/djdsf/SGpodcast.jpg) and is also not in the Zune market place. (http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb224/djdsf/Zunemarketplace-1.jpg) ( I know the now one is not going to be there so quick, but I was at least expecting the 0 show to be there mostly because my girlfriend likes to hear the podcasts from SG and she wanted it on her Zune as well.

But even troughout all of these small bumps on the road, the show is great, I love it, my girlfriend loves it, everyone in the community (hatters don't count) love it and I give you girls a 6 out of 5 stars for the show.

PS: Have you thought about re-naming the show The "Sarcastic Gamer.com Girls in Gaming Podcast"? or the "Sarcastic Gamer.com Pink Girls podcast"? (that last one was kinda lame.)

You may be women talking about a girly perspective on things but you definitely discuss topics of interest to a young male audience. (Just look at Rothbart's list!)

Although most of the show had me chuckling along with you, there was one bit where I have to confess I laughed at you "What's an engine? Like in a car?" Sorry Lesley but that made me lol :lol: - Just remember though there are no stupid questions, only people that remain stupid for not asking questions. I'm really enjoying the show ladies. This ties in so well the site's image as you all have a great sense of humor. I'm still on the fence regarding Jax and Harlequin on what games to get. I play a lot of shooters so Call of Duty: World at War looks like a great game, but as I look at my games most are shooters so I really want Fable II. However I also have Gears of War 2 and Left 4 Dead pre-purchased. Yay, more shooters! :D

Also, if you haven't played Tales of Vesperia and you're an RPG fan you're surely missing out. Cell shaded graphics, animated cut scenes and the characters are really funny with good voice acting.

Since Lesley is just starting out, have you tried a few Xbox Live Arcade games? If you haven't heard of Roogoo (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/r/roogooxboxlivearcade/), you might want to check it out as it may look like it's for kids, but it's actually quite challenging.

MightyMutt, that's very well said. I also wanted to point out that there are always going to be beginners out there and if your crew spans the knowledge spectrum versus focusing only on what "experts" would know, you have the potential to appeal to a wider audience. It also helps make it easier to bring up topics because you can discuss amongst yourselves in such a way that you present information without lecturing to some unknown listener. On the Blu show there have been times where someone might downplay knowledge of something simply to allow us to "break it down" to them which can be useful for listeners in the same position.

Diversity is good. Nobody wants to listen to three like-minded folks who all know everything in common. :thumbsup:

Really good show. I really like the different personalities on the show. It's pretty funny if you think about it, you girls are just like the red show hosts.

Great show, guys! My first favorite part: Leslie shyly admitting that the only fall game that she had any interest in was... Monopoly. Then I think it was Harlequin that was trying to be supportive saying, sure, I understand that some people like to play games for the nostalgia factor, etc. After a few minutes of Harlequin being diplomatic (even though the FPSer in her must have been screaming out in pain), JaX just says "NO. No, you are not playing Monopoly, Leslie." :lol:

My second fav was finding out about some of the more humorous Fable II achievements. Not sure how I missed those, as I have the game pre-ordered, and am definitely looking forward to it. The achievement that made me laugh the most was "having an orgy responsibly". Prudish me. I always assumed that participating in an orgy would fit into the irresponsible category no matter what. See how educational video games can be, Leslie? :)

I'm currently using the microphone I got along with Karaoke Revolution American Idol :) Stuck on my microphone stand that I bought to play Rock Band so I could do guitar and vocals at the same time. I'm so glad I have a boyfriend now so he can help out and I don't have to multitask...LOL
