i boght a wii in may i think and at first it was great. i was bowling and throwing darts and playing tennis and playing crappy FPS games, but i ignored the fact i was playing this less than my PS2. and now its october and ive played roughly ever game for the Wii(that looked good) and while there are a few good games, like Zelda, red steel was ok, Exite truck, paper Mario, and... um?.....well thats really it.while most said Metroid was really good, me personally didnt think it was that great but ive never been a big fan of the Metroid games so i cant really say.The thing that makes me mad is the fact that theres not very many good games,the graphics are usally worse than my PS2, and there is no online for most games, and even if there where i cant get my Wii online, cause the LAN adapter thing dosent work and the WI-FI dosent work either so the only way i cant get online is if i pay 70$ or more for a wireless router. and im 12 i dont have enough money to pay 70$(cause my parents bought the Wii for me) to go online just to pay more money on some NES game that came out 20 years ago.and Brawl is the main reason i wanted a Wii and it got delayed till febuary, but it could be that there just finishing the game and not being like EA and woring about relaese dates more than quality so it might and up bennifting it.any way i just wanted to say how i felt about the Wii so um thanks for listeing.

So what you're saying is that you were trying to convince somebody that the Wii has good games by making a list of games that "aren't the greatest or longest lasting?" Genius!


And now it's time for me to tell you why all of those games you just listed suck and aren't worth buying:

Mario Strikers - Have you played the Gamecube version? Probably not, because if you had then you'd know that the Wii version barely passes as an upgrade.

Wii Sports - If you're still playing Wii Sports after owning the console for several months then you have absolutely no taste when it comes to videogames. That game is fun for a month, tops.

Super Paper Mario - Have you played ANY of the previous versions of Mario RPG's (Paper Mario, Paper Mario:Thousand Year Door, Super Mario RPG)? Once again I doubt you have because then you would have realized how much of a letdown this new Paper Mario game was.

Mario Party 8 - This game has been going downhill so fast ever since the N64 versions that it's not even funny.

Wii Sports is an all around great game. I have owned the Wii since Nov.19 and I can still play that game for hours. Right now Im trying to get pro at everything. I got pro in bowling and on tennis. Boxing and golf are too hard, and baseball is tough also.

Striker is a great game also. I rented it sadly, I wish I would have bought it. I played it for long periods of time online and off. And super paper mario, not good? Dude, dont say I have bad taste if you think that game was bad.

I dont think I am being an extremist at all. Im defending what I think should be defended. Since the launch of Wii, and back in the days of GC, everyone has complained, Nintendo is a kiddy company, and all they make is kiddie games. I agree that GC was not the best days of Nintendo, although some great titles did come from it. Mario, Zelda, Metriod, and all the other 1st party games from Nintendo are not all kiddie games. All I was trying to say in this thread was that, Nintendo is doing their job, they are suppling the games that we want to play, but they are just 1 development company. Wii needs to get some great 3rd party teams, not good....GREAT. Nintendo has supplied a system that is revolutionizing the industry, their games...the same. Here are my only comlaints of the Wii system thus far:

-Wii Remote Battery Life

All right first of all bs94 graphics aren't the most important thing, Second Mikey Super Paper mario is better then the original? are you kidding me? I prefer the original over the Wii one any day. I am not saying it is bad but there just is no comaprison it's like comparing Superman 64 to halo. The original Paper Mario was the best of the series. Most of the levels were fun the Bosses were good and the ending to PM was so much better then the ending to SPM (The parade in PM was awsome). I played PM so many times after I beat it, I just couldn't stop, it got to the point where I could get to the crystal palace on the day I made a new file, I got bored of SPM soon after I beat it. SPM is missing somehing the original had (besides the RPG and Combat systems) it's missing alot of the charm of the original. Anyway that is my rant on PM, my favorite game.

I never beat the original, and can hardly remember it. I thought SPM was awesome and fresh.

I just didn't see anything in the near future that I wanted to buy, so off it went to pay for groceries.

Wii and 360 have some great titles for the 4th quarter and sadly PS3 is lacking. But there are not a lot of them for neither system. I just dont understand the reason for flaming the Wii ,and why you keep saying there are no good games.

I have both, and yes the 360 is aweome, I love its online. And right now it is the best system. But I still believe the Wii has tons more potential then it. And I think the PS3 has more potential then both of them put together. It just gets on my nerves when people say that the system sucks and has no games.

I havent played it and dont plain on it. But it is a big franchise title that is very very popular. Thats why I mention it.

I personally liked Wii Tenis, although I do understand your complaint about the legs. But like you said the game was free, and also it was meant to be a demo and to show 3rd parties what to do. Sadly all 3rd parties like to do is throw some waggle in and call it a day.

and 50% just casual (yeah it is its own group)

What I would like to see is the causal percentage to go down about 20% and the 15 and above percentage to go up about 20%. Once again, WII need 3rd parties to step in. GOOD 3rd parties.

Why would Nintendo want non exclusives first off? Exclusives are what move systems..And almost every Nintendo developed game is a success.

I think Nintendo needs to accept some good third-party support, and then step it up a notch on graphics, and add online, preferably Wi-Fi, and there you go.

Maybe a little off-topic: I think the Zapper is absolutely fantastic, it adds another notch to realism on the Wii. Especially with a game like Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles :D
