Who has it, and how good is it? I'm considering getting it, but I'd like to see what you guys think. Everyone that I know who has it is a Zelda fanboy, and is uber biased.

The same thing as the gamecube version? cause if so I absolutly LOVED the gamecube version. It was my favorite Zelda game by far, because of something most people didnt like. The sailing. That was my favorite part in the gamecube one. I know this one is basicly draw out your pathway, but I still want it.

I absolutely love the game, Ploogle. I'm not a Zelda fanboy, but definitely enjoy playing the Zelda games and I'm really enjoying playing this one. The only downside is it is pretty short.

I have it, but I have yet to take off the celephane wrapping... Too busy with Ouendan 2...

But from what I hear it's awesome...

Is it anything like the recently released FF on the DS? I think its III.I HATED that.

Hoping Zelda is good though - so i can take on holiday. Spotted Theme Park too, call me sad, but it looked as good as when it was on PSone! The graphics for Zelda looked very impressive too.

Its nothing like FF at all. I take it youve never played a Zelda before? If not, you're in for a treat. Its only becuase Ive played every Zelda (yes, CDi included) that it feels just a tad old hat. Still really enjoying it though.

There is absolutely NO WAY that you played the CDi Zeldas and enjoyed them. Those games made me want to curl up in the fetal position and never play video games again. Luckily, after months of therapy, I was able to play video games again.

I *beat* the CDi ones! ^_^

I just started the game a couple days ago and I'm having a blast. It just feels right. You'll really use the DS for everything it's worth. I wish more games went all out like this one. It's a truely unique gameplay experience. I think every DS owner should play this game. It's one of the most complete and satisfying handheld games I've played.

To tell you the truth this is my first Zelda game I ever played and I really enjoy it. It uses all touch screen if you like that stuff.

Do you think they'll ever run out of names for Zelda games?

How do they decide anyway? Draw from a hat full of adjectives then a hat of nouns?

Legend of Zelda: The Random Object

I have bought the UK version which at the time of writing this (October 20th 2007) was released yesterday and I have to say i am gobsmacked with how the game works. I love the treasure mini game and it is so expansive. My friends bought it on launch day UK but this idiot who wanted attention bashed the best DS game yet this is the review for it
http://rr.ds.ign.com/rrview/ds/the_legend_of_zelda_phantom_hourglass/694756/72888/ (http://http://rr.ds.ign.com/rrview/ds/the_legend_of_zelda_phantom_hourglass/694756/72888/) but if you have a DS or DS Lite get it, if you dont have a ds get one with this game. This is the DS and Nintendo Game of the Hands Down! If they bring out the rumoured Metroid Dread that may give it a run for it's money. But anyone who bashes it like Halo 3 like Bioshock like The Orange Box is wanting attention. If you want to play with the touch-screen with N64 like graphics and inventive controls with treasure and ship customizablilty (how do you spell that?) get it, if you dont like any of that crap but you like a good game, get it. This is one of those rare occurences when good games get good sales not crappy film tie-ins

Legend of Zelda: The Random Object

first of all, no they won't.
second of all, I would totally play Legend of Zelda: The Random Object.

in pertinance to the current conversation (i'm pretty sure pertinance is a word), Phantom Hourglass is a lot of fun. Some of the puzzles are so simple, yet i couldn't figure them out, which made me feel both accomplished and idiotic after solving them. However, the Phantom Hourglass dungeons (and the whole stealth-esque levels in general), pretty much sucked for me. I dont like backtracking. Granted, its not backtracking, its forwardtracking, because you go through the Phantom Hourglass dungeon many, many times.
The game is lots of fun, and definetly worth the 30 bucks.
(30 bucks! wow, handheld games are way too cheap for a guy used to blowing 60 on bad games like Lost Planet)

The graphics are much better than N64 graphics...

Also how's the multiplayer? Have yet to try it...

Also Lost Planet was good...

You can't compare the graphics for the DS version and the N64 versions. The N64 games were 3D and Phantom Hourglass is predominantly top-down-view.

Either way, this game is awesome. I like it a lot better than the gamecube version (the game it's a sequel of).

Well of course they are but that was probably a setting for it and the multiplayer is really good if you can understand how to play it which pissed me off because this guy who got it on the launch day kicked my ass and he must have been playing non stop on the multiplayer. It is a must have for every ds owner unless they like their (shitty) brain training or brain age as it is called in the US of

Note: October 19th was the release date for zelda phantom hourglass

Yeah but once you get to go find the ghost ship for the first time you can navigate in style!

Ha, you obviously didn't play the gamecube version or else you'd be thanking god for how easy and short navigating in this version is. If you want a good idea of the magnitude of the gamecube version then multiply the amount of islands by 2 and then multiply the amount of ocean by 4! It took so long to travel in the gamecube version that it really sucked. Navigating in the DS version isn't bad at all.

Personally I like it. It's a very unique way of exploring that no other game that I know of has done.

If by unique you mean boring and tedious then yes, I agree... Too bad, the rest of teh game rocks...

You obviously haven't played many Zelda games. A trademark of the series is traveling, exploring, and discovering new things in areas you've already been to before.

I've played most of the console Zelda games at freinds houses, this is teh first Zelda game I've bought though...

Sure they could do exploring, traveling and discovering new areas... But in a better less tedious way...

Sailing through the fog is the boringest experience I've ever had during any game...

I agree with you 100%, and I consider this a must have game for the DS. I haven't even finished the second temple, but that's the great thing about a Zelda game. You get bored with the temple, you can go off and do something else. Zelda games are some of my favourite games, and this is the best in my opinion. Just because it is practically a portable Wind Waker. The exploring is much less tedious than Wind Waker though, even though the game is smaller. As I said previously, this is a must have game. If you don't own it, get it. Graphically, I always enjoyed it, the cutesy cell shading is my style. Some people were complaining the graphics were "too kiddy" when Wind Waker came out, but I think you eventually realise that's what makes Zelda games so fun. It's like being a kid again, exploring and discovering new things all the time. Or that's what I think, anyway.

I regress... The sailing only sucks when it's foggy... It's not too bad otherwise...
